If plants are 1 week out of germination, how much and how often (in general) should you water them (1 gal pots of coco coir)? I notice the first real leaves have turned downward, so I am wondering if I overwater.
This^^^I agree 100% with hellraizer30, just that the plants should really be in a slightly smaller container until they get a couple of sets of leaves and get a decent root mass, then let them hang out in 1 gallon containers for a spell. I tried to go to 1 gal too early and it damn near wiped them out. Until I started some, left them in 4" containers for 2 weeks from sprout, only then was I seeing proper growth. 1 gallon is a lot of media for a seedling....imo and it is easier to overwater them, and on a side note, I only used distilled water until the second full set of leaves ( usually about 2 full weeks from sprout ) then I start nutes at 1/4 strength for a bit then start climbing. Here is a pic of one that I started in a 4" then went to a 1 gallon and went back to a 4" it is a 7 week old plant( 3rd from left)..I just did it to see it I could save it....lol
