Hey so I'm about to harvest my first grow, all went pretty well to be honest, it was a soil grow in a 2' x5' x5' tent with a 400 w hps lamp. Temperatures in the tent were around 25 degrees. 5 plants in 4 litre pots. They've still got a week or 2 left but I'm planning for my next run. I've decided to go with coco. Ive acquired 10 square 1.5 litre pots that would line up nicely in my space (I'm thinking if I grow more plants I can cut down on veg time and utilise as much space as possible.(sorta like sog)) Now doing research I'm starting to think 1.5 l pots would need watering 2-3 times a day... Can't be on with that man. Any suggestions? Does coco need that much watering? Should I upgrade the pot size? What does everyone else do? And why? Watering/feeding

A 1.5 liter container would require a lot more than 2-3 feedings a day, it's way too small and I feel it would inhibit growth. I use 2 gal. (7.57 liters) buckets and I feed twice a day with great results.

Wow that's some impressive cultivation going on there dude! How much are you guestimating is there? Reckon could get away with 1 feed a day in 10 litres, using pure coca or very little perlite?
Nice one man! Look like some tasty Buddha there dude! What light are you using? And what ratio do you use perlite at? Trying to find the right ratio so I can water once a day by hand. Is that 21 days from clone mate?

Should go 10 lbs. You will get away with one feed when the plants are small. But once the plants get bigger you will need to feed them more then once a day

Yes, 21 days from a rooted cutting. 600 watt HPS. As far as extra aeration, depends on how much pith is in it but usually around 30%.

s nuts man! Cheers man! My coco has arrived this morning so I'll be mixing up a batch an sticking it into my tent with no seed while my current run finishes. Hopefully get a general idea of how fast it'll dry out etc. I'm just speculating but in theory, once the plants are big enough to be taking a lot of water the shade they provide will stop the light drying out the coco. By how much may be negligible but I look forward to finding out! Maybe as a contingency plan, I'll get an automated pump that will feed them once a day while I'm working and I'll do the others by hand. May prove to be a fairly cheap solution.
I see! The help Is much appreciated guys! Is there a particular reason you're growing a single cola? I topped my last run to utilise as much floor space as possible but left one untopped to see the difference. The single cola is considerably bigger/phatter but the topped ones have more buds. again, can't wait to see the results!

I don't see what you mean by twisting....can you post a different image?
FIMing, topping, over feeding, too much heat & genetics could be a factor.
Looks pretty healthy to me. Heard heat stress causes twisting but can't see any in your pic. A few shots from different angles would help

Because I can shove 12, 9 liter pots in my 4x4x7 and yield 24-30 ounces under a 600.
