Hello RIU:joint:.....

This will be my first grow and i'm trying to decide whether to go with soil or a soil less mix...If I am to choose Soil, I would go with Fox Farm OF and I would go with Earth Juice Grow and Bloom for Nutrients. If I were to go soil less I would go with a Coco Coir Planting mix...I will be growing in 3 gallon Grow Bags, and I will be growing Dr. Greenthumb Iranian Autoflower Outdoors from start to finish....Questions I have are: Would I be able to just grow simply in a Coco Coir planting mix with no additives except for the Earth Juice nutes? Which would be more beneficial for my situation the Fox Farm or Coco Coir Planting Mix???What is a possible yield I can expect???And considering Auto flower strains have a short Veg cycle, and the FFOF is nute packed will a Grow nute be necessary? any help would be greatly appriciated with + rep

Which would be more beneficial for my situation the Fox Farm or Coco Coir Planting Mix??? FF
What is a possible yield I can expect??? any answer would be a guess.
And considering Auto flower strains have a short Veg cycle, and the FFOF is nute packed will a Grow nute be necessary? You need to watch your plant and see if it is doing well or not. You will need much less than if in the coco.

Peace and good luck

It works. You can't pay more but you can buy better. Any good tomato soil is a good choice. There is a difference in whats in the bag. Read the lable and decide if it's right. Walk around the stores and see what they got, I stoped in a contry hardware store today for propain and found chicken shit in with the other ferts. 5$ picked some up. We expect great things from our gardens, our garden expects great things from us.

Peace

Try not to use any miracal grow ferts, leaves a bad taste.

sounds like ya got good a plan.

personally, imma organic tea coco guy.

it all depends on how much work you wanna do. the FFOF would be easier than coco cuz it does have goodies in it. since your growing A/F's, all you would probolly need to do is a lil top dressin of the FFOF couple weeks in an maybe sum guano an molasses 3-4 weeks befor harvest. if you can find Roots Organic soil, i'd go with that. lil higher quality that the FF.

yeild wise, coco would be better. coco has a better water/air holdin ratio.

since its your first grow, i'd choose the premixed soil over the coco. jus add water....what could be better?

best of luck whatever route you take.

If you wanna get your feet wet with coco, go 50/50 FFof and coco. Not 100% on roots organic being higher quality than FF (on the Left coast at least)...do a search for FF vs roots organic. Someone does a side by side comparison and the roots organic made his plants really twiggy in comparison.
