Hello! THis is my first post here, so yeah.. Hi :)

Just wondering if anybody had any success adding mycorrhizae to their coco? I have a bottle of great white but have heard conflicting stories; some say it works, others say the chemical nutes (I'm using canna coco) would kill the organisms.

What is it?

Not heard of it before. If it's been spacifically designed for coco use then you can use it mate. If not, don't use it.

the plant would only go into symbiosis with mycorrhiza when it has to->when there is not enough nutes for the plant.if u supply enough nute then there is no sense for mycorrhiza.
that being said, trichoderma will prevent molds and shit in the pot though.

NO offense bro, but trich *is* a mold. ...it is just a very good one for plants.

Fungi love coir, and I imagine that that is what counts. It is the presence of the
fungi that assists the plant.

There are not enough "chemical nutes" in Great White to affect anything.
"Kill organisms" == makes no sense, as GW *is* organisms....

(one could argue effectively that trich prevents less deisrable molds
from taking hold....this is how Hypholoma is used to prevent honey
mushroom from killing trees, in spite of it's being a facultative parasite
itself)

Damn JD :) Good one.
What up guys. Believe this is my first post here.
Made the switch to coco. Earlier i bought what i thought was a RO unit but turned out it was a 2 stage de-chlorinater and sediment remover. Wont affect ppm.
For ease sake and just getting a good start i went with the "head formula" then invested in the unit i thought was RO. Gave all a florakleen watering today.
DSC_0386.JPG
Well is anyone following the head formula and can you tell me what you do about the PH on florakleen days? Supposedly the formula can be used without any meters ph/ec but with just water and florakleen i end up at ph 7.6. Is it just me having shitty water :)?

Looks good mate. But that's a very high ph for hydro

Hey bud,
I use H3ad's formual and I am running 75/25 coco/Growstone Hempy's. I have backed off H3ad's rates, instead of 6, 9, +1g Epsom, I use 4, 6, + 1g and 1.5ml Cal/Mag. I do not monitor drainage pH and I maintain a pH of 5.8+/-. I would get tip burn from H3ad's formula, I also back off the Micro to 2 ml20160128_190048.jpg 20160127_190227.jpg 20160127_190246.jpg in the last few weeks before harvest, and step up the Bloom to 15ml.
I use rainwater pH 5.5 and ppm 13, when I mix my nutes at the above rates I get a ppm of 650 to 700 and a I pH at that point to 5.8. I have had much grief with Mag problems but have finely got it worked out.
Have you charged the coco prior to planting?

Thank you GR. Very usefull. Wow im happy to hear about the rainwater i have used it in the past but forgot about it during winter lol. I just connected the hose and started collecting.
I never charged my coco no. Just gave them a light feed of rootbooster and hesi complex. Did not have the gh line at that point. I bought some advanced nutrients sensi cal mag xtra 4-0-0 and have been giving 1ml/l every watering.

Ive tried to make a feeding schedule after head formula.
Every watering 1ml of SensiCalMag
Every watering 1ml Sensizym pr 8l water.
Every 3. watering 1g epsom salt pr. 4L water
Two times a week flush with florakleen

Cuts and seedlings:
0,5ml/l rootbooster 0,5ml/l Micro 1ml/l Bloom

Vegging:
Rootbooster 1ml/l Micro 1.5ml/l Bloom 2ml/l

Start flowering:
Micro 1.1ml/l Bloom 2.3ml/l

End of stretch in flower:
Micro 1ml/l Bloom 2,75ml/l P-K Booster 1ml/L

Should have never bought that filter.. Rainwater is 5.5ph with a ppm of 45.. Perfect :)

I use Epsom every watering, and be sure to watch the plants, they will tell you if you are giving too much nutes.
I am concerned that you did not charge the coco, I don't use floracleen.
I don't believe it is to late to help your coco, when I charge I use one gallon of straight pH'ed water per gallon pot size. After passing that water thru the profile I use one gallon of lite nute mix, per gallon pot size, .25 rate and pass that thru the profile. Each time I let them drain completely, then transplant and again give them another dose of nute solution.
If you are already in you finished containers, I would do a good flush the same way as above but I would pass multiple amounts of pH'ed water thru the pot, then the nute solution.
I bet that is clear as mud, lol. Sorry if I did not make much sense, I blame it on the smoke. LOL
You will see a little water wilt but just give them a day or so with no nute solution.
Doing the Folgers can Hempy buckets I water with nutes daily and if I see a change I don't like I back off the nutes for a bit, always using some but at reduced rates.
Hope this helps,
GR

I get it. I think. lol :)
Ive had problems with a few of the plants and it could well be that i did not flush it well enough. Ill give them a charge tomorrow.
Thank you for taking the time.

Love that White Rhino, GR865. I'm growing some out for the first time at the moment. May I ask what week that shot was taken? I'm still trying to get a sense of how mine are going to turn out. Yesterday was Day One of Week Five, and the last few days they've really started to go all Arnold Schwarzenegger on me. I was a little worried for a week or two prior to that, though.

That pic was taken end of the 8th week, harvested at 9 weeks.
I think I could have given it an extra week to ten days.
I is ok smoke, EC is the bette of the two, saying that I have 6 clones of each in my cabinet now. Going to stagger the harvest some, see what that does. She sure was a nice looking plant.

Yeah, it's a beauty. Looks like some decent yield. I was just in my room, trying to take some pictures, and they're really starting to frost up now. I moved one aside with my hand, and my fingers are still sticky. I've got a feeling I'm going to be really happy a month or so down the road if these continue like this; I've got several distinct phenos already, and the indica doms really look like they're going to be bud machines. I've got my eye on several for future mothers.

Trichoderma is a endophytic fungus.i thought there was a difference between fungus and mold, but i could be wrong- i'm not native english speaker.NO offense.

No problem, just did not get what you meant. LOL, in a stoned state of mind! I grind my own coffee beans (Colombian, dark roast).
My G/F worked at a company what a lot of employees and they would go thru about two of these a week. They are the perfect size for what I wanted to do. I also got a few from one of my clients at their convenience store.

Setting up the closet today to put the clones in to veg. Had some transplant shock going from just the RootRiot plugs to the coco hempys. They should all recover. Have not worked out all the logistics for this new grow yet. Have more clones that I really need but don't know any growers in my area. I will have at least 6 Exodus Cheese, This strain is not going to be that good to do a SOG, but would be great for a ScrOG due to the heavy side branching. It has not worked out that well in the Manifold/Mainline grow so far, just way to branchy.
I will post some pics when I get this all set up.
GR
I tried using those coffee tubs, had a hell of a time come transplant time, do u finnish in those?

My clones started getting sticky on me the 2nd week of flower. Love it.
This is going to be interesting as I think I lost some yield last grow due to growing error, and those for the grow is going very well, KNOCK ON WOOD!
