Hey I just popped open my new hood and put my seedlings and clones under them at about 4 feed about them, do you think its a safe range? I check temperatures regularly and they seem to be around 80 and about 40% humidity. I also have been watering with a ph of 5.8-6.... you rock jberry

What's happenen' Berry? Hey I could use a little advice from the "coco king"
I am currently running b'cuzz coco coir with about 20% prlite in 5 gal smart pots. I have been top watering by hand drain to waste. I am setting up a new room with ebb flow system. I will be vegging in a seperate ebb/flow room and am thinking of using a mixed coco medium coir/fiber/chunk instead of perlite/coir/fiber. I want something I can flood atleast twice a day otherwise I would just use the coir. Also do you have any experience transplanting smaller smart pots into larger one's? I appreciate the opinion Brother

So in a nut shell for a ten week strain.
Canna Base nutes
Canna PK 13/14 week 2-5
Bud-XL week 4-10
Top Booster week 6, for 3-4 days
Shooting Powder week 7-9
Flush week 10
For innoculants I will go with Great White, and I haven't decided which enzymes to go with, some people swear by hygrozyme.

I am a bit confused with the H&G line up not having a PK booster until the 5-6th week.

Hi everyone, Just thought i would post somthing on here as im in my first grow and using COCO profesional. Im using the CANNA product line.
Ok, so i veged from clone for 5 weeks. Transplanting 3 time's. Im currently in 45 liter ( 9 gallon ) square pots. I have 8 x white russian, 8 x PPP and 8 x Armageddon Under 3 x 600w HPS.
Im 17 days in to flower and i have just cleaned up the bottoms.

So Jberry, my question to you is, should I PH my RO water down to 5.8-6? or should I keep it at 7 to water my seedlnigs? Also, would it be alright to add some rhizotonic to the water to help stimulate the root growth?

This is my first grow, and I'm going with 50% Bcuzz coco coir and 50% with perlite. They are growing very vey fast.
The only thing is that Ive had to water them daily because they dry up quick. Is that k as long as they dry up in 24 hours?
Either way, here are some pics. This is only two weeks after I purchased them from the club. The large plants are in my coco media, the little ones are soil and a different time and strain. The large plants that are in coco are Blue Cheese

PH it down. 7 is too high. I would bring it down under 6.2, but idealy you would bring it to the ph you are going to run them at all the way through flower, which in coco is 5.8. Just MHO

I havent ever used ebb n flow with coco so I dont really have any great tips for you, but if I were wanting to water several times a day with a coco medium, then I would consider using the coco slabs with a automated drip system... if you really got your set up dialed-in then you could even do a drain to waste using that method.
Coco isn't really ideal for ebb n flow... I know it can be done but you may or may not run into various problems.

Wondering what people's experiences are with changing up nutes on your girls in coco? I am actually trying to use a drip system right now. However the nutes I am using cant really be used in a drip system. They are organic (Gen Hydro GO line), and need to be aerated if not used soon after mixing. Therefore while the nute solution is bubbled....the pH shoots through the roof. I don't wanna go chasing it back and forth all the damn time.
Wondering if I can swap my nutes out, or should I scrap the drip for now and stick with the same nutes..and go back to hand watering/top feeding? I am now using Canna coco (hydro guys finally carry it), if I can swap out my nutes..what nutes would be best in a drip? Just go with Canna's coco nutes or what?

You could try using H&G Drip Clean to keep your nozzles clear and to help prevent lockout, but it is supposed to be used from the very start of the grow... staring it in the middle of the grow may cause root burn, so I guess that won't help you today but you may want to try it next run... it only takes 0.4ML per gal.
As far as switching nutes... that is totally fine. I have never had any problems switching brands in the middle of a grow... just make sure to get a lot of run-off the first time you water to wash away the old nutes and replace them with the new.

Dont mix top booster with pk 13/14... they are basically the same thing... use one or the other when the buds are first forming (week 2 may be slightly early)... and make sure to stop using it before you start with the Shooting Powder.
Every plant, strain, and environment is different so it is best to use any advise,feed charts, ect. as a guideline and not as facts... Dont do anything drastic, but don't be scared to experiment and tweak things to see how your plants respond.

Again, thanks for your help. Since you were one of my main teachers in the coco department, you will be happy to know that I grew some amazing Casey Jones. It turned out extremely potent, yet with a very clear high. Even though I chopped it at 70 days, there still wasn't much amber trichrome action going on.
The yield was also good. In a 2x3ft space under a 600, there were 2 CJ's and yielded 10oz of bud. All the trim and the fluffy lower nugs were turned into bubble hash. Ended up with half oz of full melt 25 micron hash. Seriously man, CJ has was really some of the best bubble I had. Just Marvelous.
My success is a compliment to you jberry as you provided some of the most vital info on coco. I have tons of pics in my thread if you'd like any specific pics let me know and I will share them here.
Just picked up nutes for the next round and of course I went with your suggestions. I already had some hydroplex, hygrozyme and silica blast. Anyhow here is the spread sheet I made for you to look over, in case I misunderstood and screwed up.

The CJ in coco cut with vermi yielded denser nugs. The smell and taste from those two were also sweet.
In next round I am running more side by side comparisons between pure coco and coco cut with organics. I have never grown in soil before so I was thinking about tossing in soil plant just to for the sake of comparing.

At what rate do you recommend cutting the coco with vermi blend. Would it be a good idea to lower the EC.
