Hi

skimmed through this thread hoping to find a few answers specific to my needs.

Firstly whats the IDEAL IDEAL PH range for coco????

When does 'Lock' usually occur in coco???

I have half soil and half coco grow, at the moment my soil is powering past the coco.

Flushed it when i first got it think that was the mistake then, as I was later told that
I didnt have to flush the coco.......... so now have been playing catchup with my soil plants.

At the mo PH is about 6.8........... thinkin this is too high??? am i right???
plants look a lighter greener to my soil plants, so thinkin Nitrogen is getting locked at at that PH level???

I have a mother under a 400w HPS??? stems kinda purple and leaves look FUCKED, her growth has definitely stunted so thinkin PH of 6.8 is the problem??
Need her to survive cos its an ideal strain, doesnt stink the place out and has a good 8 week flower time
for a smooth ass smoke and high

Any help would be much appreciated
Veg at 6.0 to 5.8 and 5.8 for flower. Or 5.8 all the way, works fine.

Yes, I have been following this guide. But with tap water instead of ro water.

Ive given them half strength Rhyzotonic with every feed mix, could this be a problem. Should I only give them this once a week?

Zoo's canna coco nute feeding schedule
Hey everyone
Over the last year or so alot of people have sent me pm's and asked in the threads the schedule I feed my plants at and exactly what I do so I thought I post this super simple method up for those that want to try it or may wanna switch to coco in the future . First I do feed sooner then most people do and that part is kinda up to you because it can be risky but I do it because it works for me and may not be right for everyone . Ok so when the plants pop out of the coco and need the first watering I water with plain R/O water at a ph of 5.8 to 6.0 and my two watering's after I do the same ph but add 1ml of Canna A+B per gallon and water until runoff and every third watering is plain R/O water at the same ph to runoff to keep salts from building up . Now we should be around our second week and this is when we go up to 2ml per gallon of A+B with the same ph until runoff and do this for two waterings in a row and then the third one with plain R/O water with the same ph until Runoff . Now we should be at the end of week two and this is when we bump up to 5 ml of A+B per gallon and things really start to take off and at this point everything should have a deep green look to it and you may start to notice a slight mag def and when this happens I start with a very low dose of Cal-Mag say around 2 to 3 ml per gallon and within a few dayz things start to turn around but I've only ran into this once or twice depending on the strain but sometimes it takes a bit more Cal-Mag but I always say start low and work your way up to stay safe .Coming into week four I try to max out at 7 to 10 ml of A+B and more of the 7 ml range and never go higher then 10ml per gallon through my whole grow . I also know some of you use Rhizotonic and Cannazyme and when I use these I go at 50% of what Canna recommends and always remember that every third watering is with plain R/o water with a ph of 5.8 to 6.o until runoff so we can keep them salts from building up . I hope this helps and like I said I keep it simple and try to make my grows from seed so just about anyone can get the genetics I grow and have the same results I have . The main thing is to learn to read your plants over time and soon they will tell you what they like and dislike kinda like your children .
If you use canna coco you dont have to use plain water at all mate durin the grow if you want to do like a mini flush use a half strength A&B and the cannzym if you use plain water with canna you risk messin up your buffers and you micro life...........just my 2 pence bro not tryin to dis you or anythin just thought i'd throw it up,.........all the rest you said is pretty much what ive done on my 1st run in canna coco mate

Just relised that int you scroggsy its zoo's feedin schedule oh well lol
Yeah no worries, it's all good input. I am just at a point now where I dont know what to do, im not using RO water (is this what you mean by plain water?). I found out that my tap water is 336 ppm so I went onto the canna nutrient calculator that it told me I should be using 3ml each of A+B at this stage (6ml total).

Please look at the pictures I posted, should I be feeding them 6ml of A+B at this stage into a 2ltr jug? I have no way to measure EC or PPM's etc so Im trying to follow feed guides blind.

I have a hunch that I have not been putting enough nutes in whilst using plenty of Rhizotonic (which makes ph rise) Would more nutes have helped my ph be more stable? Ive used GH ph down powder. also I have just realised that my ph testing drops do not work below 6.0 Arggh and now I dont know just how acidic my latest mix is. My plants have been sitting in ph 7.0 coco for the last 24 hours OMG

6ml/4l of A&B(12ml in total) sounds about right mate thats like half strength or go with 4 if you want to be safe and work up, the A&B does lower the ph the rhiz risers it try an get to 6.2 and you will be good at this stage 5.8 though if you can, you need a ph meter bud!

I am on my third grow with my LED. Third grow ever for that matter. Anyway my previous two grows were autoflower grows. First grow was 2 Onyx and 1 EasyRyder autos that yielded me 5.2oz. Dried and cured. Second grow was 2 Onyx 2 EasyRyder and 1 Haze Auto that yielded me 5.9oz. Dried and cured. Just weighed that last grow up. As far as for how the budz turned out? I and friends who got to taste loved it. Nice bud density. Nice high. Nice everything. I even took a sample(qrtr.oz.) to my favorite dispensary and they were very impressed not only that it was my first grow but also that I used LED. I'm impressed with how my LED has performed so far! No supplemental lighting just the supernova seed to harvest! now I'm ready to see how it performs on regular strains. Which I'm currently three days after popping thru the coco. So its been three days since they popped thru and I was wondering what peoples opinions are on the light schedule for the seedling and vegetative stages are? I was planning on 24 hrs during the seedling stage then switch to 18/6 during vegetative. What about 24/0 till flowering? Anyone doing this? Should I have the light on 18/6 from seedling to flower? Just wondering what's the best way. I only have two autoflower grows of experience and I had my light on a 20/4 schedule for those. Thanks for any info and opinions on this! Any suggestions on a late bloombooster also?FYI those are Budz from my first grow in my avatar.
Nice!!! 5.2 dried?......Sweeeet.........Once my clones are done rooting I put them in the veg room on 18/6.....I like to give em a little shut eye........ Virtually every nute line has a late bloom booster.....Mad farmer is the cheapest yet still quality.......You got Koolbloom(GH).....Budblaster(Supernatural) ...........Overdrive(AN)......ect.......My personal favorite is Shooting Powder from House & Garden..............Peace

You can give them that every feed....no problem.....Just some beneficial bacteria....They will love it........Peace

Fed them the 6ml last night and they loved it. The headbands even developed a new set of leaves over night and returned to a nice healthy green (took a fair bit of solution to get the runoff ph down though). PH pen is on it's way.

My acoustic fans/rhino filter and temp controller turned up today along with other bits. OMG what a beasty set up lol everything fits like a glove.

Thanks for the confirmation BTW

Nice one cheers, I have come to realise that this guide has made me under feed (it may be due to the working out of US gallons to litres though), but this guide did not appear to be working for me. The online custom Canna guide has shown immediate results so far. Although I have taken some of zoo's points on board.

Peace to you too. Scroggsy.

Since I transplanted my plants to cococoir they are doing incredible. I went from ffof in 1/2 gallon pots to 3 gallon pots in sunshine 100% coco. My plants went from 1 ft. tall to 4 ft. in just 3

wks. Im using all advanced nutrients and am getting great results....heres my line up...
Sunshine 100 % coco...20% perlite...10% worm castings. Nutes in flowering....sensi bloom 1& 2, b52, cal/mag, big bud, bud candy, mother earth bloom tea, and hygrozyme....my water comes out of the tap at 7.6 and I let it sit for a minimum of 24 hrs then add my nutes which takes it down to 5.7 automaticly so I let it sit for another hr and check it again just to make sure it don't fluctuate..if so just adjust accordingly...I have noticed though when it comes to clones it acts a little different...you really have to keep your eye on the plants and dnt add nothing but some nitrogen and cal/mag and in small amounts at first. Thats the really nice thing about coir is your plants will tell you how much and its very easy to adjust...I want to post pics but am still figuring out how and when I do ill post them. The plant you see in my profile is the one in coco and can see how nice it is...afagan kush..and I am doing vanilla kush also ....hope thats helps some people....happy growing

how many of you guys germ your seeds straight into coco? any reduction on the nutes?
I do.

I am 55/56 starting seeds directly in coco.

I try to start with a clean media, flushing it before planting the seeds.
Once a seedling is present I like to start with a 0.5ec of cal-mag plus, liquid karma, and pro-tekt.
After a few leaf sets are present I then begin using a 0.9ec to 1.1ec solution.
Per gallon I will use 5ml Canna Coco A+B, 2ml Cal-Mag Plus, 6ml Liquid Karma, and 4ml of Pro-Tekt and then add a little extra water to drop the ec if it is too high while maintaining the ratios.

February 17th - Just hatched, cfl bulbs - Run off at 0.6ec

February 26th - using ~200w combo daylight cfls - using 0.7ec

March 5th - 3.5 days under 400w MH - using 1.1ec solution
