which is fine i think if you flush regularly. i find the plants get locked up after about 4 weeks of straight feeding.

I used to water from the top until the trays would fill. I never flushed. Now I bottom feed and there is no reason to flush. Some water to waste and do not flush. I have not had lock out problems.

I flush after every 7th feeding with low nutes, dont know how true it is that if u flush regulary with just plain water you can stress the plant in coco? O well they seem healthy so cant complain!

ok so i'm at week 6 of veg just transplanted to 3 gal 50-50 mix of coco and hydroton

using:
AN gmb
calmag+
cyco silica

that solution is at 1100 ppm, also its been a little less than a week since i was hitting em with sea cal and bushmaster foliar

anyway all my plants but one are fine, one of them is having what looks like a cal def again...
so my question is, how much cal mag are you guys giving your plants? it seems like more is not enough

I dont know anything about those nutes but i know one question most will ask is are you using RO water?

no it's from the tap. i'll leave it sit for about two days before using it, it comes out at 190 ppm or .38 EC, is that such an amount that throws off the cal or mg uptake that much? I mean i checked the water report and there's nothing i saw that would be so bad, and i keep the ph around 5.5-6. Then i'll usually flush with a low ppm solution of fresh water then later only cal mag once in a while. The only thing I can really think of is the coco? if you use coco how much do you supplement your plant with cal mag? In your opinion does brand matter or is it just the way coco is? i wasn't really expecting it to require so much cal-mag

let me know how that goes and yeah this is my first as well. are you using ro water? What's your lighting and feeding schedule like? i read that some people use twice the recommended dose more or less, was wondering if anyone out there does that as well? I know a lot of this information can already be found as i've already seen a ton of different answers, just want to expand the forum's resources and get some quality input :p

Hi guys, I've been growing in coco for the last few grows and have been using Canna nutes. I'm thinking of switching over to the Hesi coco but was wondering if it's best to use their whole range or to mix and match canna and hesi like using the canna rhizo and boost and using everything else Hesi?? I appreciate any feed back

I'm currently using Canna nutes, but decided to go with BudXL instead of the Boost.

Canna provides me with a feeding schedule online, so my question is do I use the BudXL the same time and same amounts as the Boost would? Or does the BudXL have a totally different schedule to use it?

I got a big bag of BioBizz coco mix and I am wondering if I can use the 3-part advanced nutes with some CalMag for my grow? Would using just that be ok? Or should I just go with the BioBizz nutes - would that be better?

Please

Hello ,
I will explain my setup quickly then ask a few questions (I have searched the forums but have only found some of the info I needed)

I am growing 3 Berry Ryder Autos and 3 GDP (Which I will pull any males as soon as I switch over to flower cycle after the autos are done.
When the seeds sprout , I am going to place them in 1" rockwool cubes in my T5 dome.

Q: How to prepare the rockwool cubes?
I was going to soak them in distilled water for 24hrs , is this ok ? or do I need to soak them in 5.8PH water?

Q: When should be the 1st feeding and how much?
I am using the GH Flora series (Grow , Micro , Bloom) along with Liquid KoolBloom , Diamond Nectar , Floralicious , and FloraKleen for flushing every 2 weeks.

Q: How big should the seedlings be before I transplant them into 3g Buckets (75% Coco , 25% Perlite) ?

Once they are transplanted they will be under 600MH.

Q: What is a good feeding schedule? (what strength at what phase of growth? When do the GH Additives get used?)

I know for flushing I should use the RO water and FloraKleen (9gal of water if the pots are 3g)

Q: How much nutrients (in weight) should be used at every watering and how often?

Sorry for all the questions , Im sure Ill learn as I go , but if anyone has some good advice or can point me to a thread I missed , I would
greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

I've never used Biobizz or advanced nutes, so I can't help you. You might want to try posting in the advanced nutrients thread.

So I'm a long time perlite hempy grower, and I'm gonna give coco a try in my buckets. I got myself a brick of Roots Organic coco. So my question is.... is it best to hydrate the whole brick at once??? Or can I just break off what I need and hydrate that??.

I don't mind doing the whole thing at once but I wonder about storage for later, because I won't use it all at once.
So question # 2 is what is the best way to store surplus hydrated coco for future needs???
