Coco in 100l pots

Okay, my friend told me he is switching from RDWC to Coco. Nevermind the switch or the reasons for it, just focus on Coco. His normal count would be over 20 plants. He told me he will be using 100l airports.

When he told me that I was quite surprised. I understand he was working on 3 month-ish cycles. It just seems insane to me.

First of all, isn't the volume too big? Won't the plants grow into the roots too much in the the 3 months cycle? Also note the plant height. If you scrog the monsters youll need a lot more time.

Second waste if resources? Food, Coco, water, etc.

Third, too much unnecessary work? Handling all the unnecessary coir?

I think it resource wasteful and just plain wrong. Unless of course you wanna do it like an, almost, outdoor season. Give them 5 months or something, so they can develop roots and really yield heavy

What do you think guys? Am I wrong and it really is worth it? I'd like to hear your opinions.
