Cocopopo (Chocolope) Photoperiod Grow X2 180 watt Hans Panels

I've had a few awesome grows, but this time I thought I'll document it and create a grow journal here on Rollitup. The growbox is a brand new Royal Room Classic 100x100x200 (about 3.2 feet x 3.2 feet x 6.5 feet tall), so it gives me quite a bit of room to grow in. The tiny sprout is a Cocopopo feminized photoperiod from Bulk Seed Bank. I have had good luck with Autos, but I am wanting to grow a mostly Sativa with high THC content (this one claims 25-27%) I have a full carbon filter setup for when things get stinky, and this time I have two 180-watt Hans Panels from Bonsai Hero (Amsterdam). Some people may not like them, but I've had some killer grows already, (averaging 1-gram per watt) and will like to see what 2 lights will create. 360-watts LED.... This might be too much light for one plant... we will see. Grow bucket is 20 liters - PH of water in all circumstances 5.8. One large 120mm round air stone sits in the bottom with a double inlet Resun airpump (Chinese junk) for plenty of bubble/oxygen action. The light schedule is 18-6, and of course only using one panel until the other is needed. So let's see if I can manage a photoperiod, and how it goes.

Also, for those that might be interested, I'm building my own water chiller during this grow, and will post everything from buying the parts to building it and testing it.

Comments are welcome to my grow journal as long as they are constructive. I always like to help people and answer questions, and I appreciate the good knowledge that some of the members in this community offer.

Nice I'll be watching this thread I've grown this one before and it turned out to be very good smoke. But do not expect much of a sativa, should come out rather hybrid.

Hi, thanks for the comment. The seeds came from Bulk Seed Bank and are feminized photoperiod. No auto this time On the certificate it shows 95% Sativa/5% Indica with a 24-27% THC. I'm kind of hoping it's accurate, but I've not had any experience with this seed bank before. I guess we'll find out

Second week. Looking good, growing like a weed  Reverse osmosis water change. Added 5 ml GHE Micro, Grow, Bloom + 5 ml GHE Calcium/Magnesium. Water checked after nutrients and brought down to 5.8. pH - PPM shows 154. Water temp in reservoir 22c.

Thinking about changing my nutrient line after this grow. I've had good results with GHE but, if someone out there has some suggestion on a product line that might be better, then I'm listening.

Hello and happy Sunday to everyone! The little plant had a growth explosion during the week and not so little anymore. I noticed this strain is MUCH more bushy than the other strains I have grown. It's staying relatively short with a lot of growth from the inside. Fan leaves are huge. Today did R.O. water change, added 1.98 teaspoons of GHE Micro, Grow, Bloom + 10 ml GHE Cal/Mag. I checked the pH after adding nutrients and it was 5.5. Added 4 drops GHE pH UP to bring it to 5.8 pH. Humidity is 44%, temperature 21c. (69F) Everything looking good so far. Thinking about when I should get my scrog screen in there. Maybe I won't bother with it since I'll be using two 180 watt Hans Panels when it's needed. I take photos with the light intensity all the way down.

It's Sunday, time for entry. Plant is looking awesome. I noticed this strain is growing a lot 'bushier' than all the last strains. It's short, and tons of leaves growing outward. Complete RO water change + added 19.7ml (3.9 tsp) of GHE , Micro, Grow, Bloom + 15 ml GHE Calcium/Magnesium supplement. Adjusted pH to 5.8 with 4 drops GHE pH Down. PPM sitting at 450 - Temperature of water 22c (71F) and air temp 23c (73F) - Now I am running both 180-watt Hans Panels for 360-watt total on vegetation mode. Plant begins to have a strong smell even without flowers, so carbon filter system is now on. Will put my scrog screen in this week.

A little bit of a mid-week update. Today I received a product I ordered called Hydroguard, but this is made by a Ukrainian company called Greenpower Basically the same stuff as the other and contains 'Bacillus amyloliquefaciens' The instructions say to use 1 to 2.5ml per liter of water. I used 15ml for the 15 liters of water I have in the bucket. I had to add 3.5 liters of water today. The plant drank all that up since Sunday. This means something is going OK  The plant is really short and bushy, and now I can start to see the main stalks coming up. A few more days and I will add my special scrog screen I made. There are some leaves at the bottom dying already (first leaves) so I'll do a little pruning. Water pH 5.81 -Checked PPM - 400. Water temp is 23c. The roots are nice, clean and white (I'm not racist). My homemade water cooler is about complete. I'm thinking about throwing up some plans for this.

Time for my weekly update. The plant is looking at smelling really nice. I might enjoy growing more than smoking I think! :D I did a little bit of pruning of dead leaves and some MASSIVE fan leaves that were just sitting on the bottom and drooping. A little bit of a lollipop...not too much. Did not change water this week. I have been adding about 2.5 liters of fresh RO water almost every day. Added 4 teaspoons each of GHE Micro, Grow, Bloom. 15 ML GHE Cal/Mag + 10ml of Greenpower Hydroguard. I added 10 drops of GHE UP because the pH was 5.6 - Got it settled at 5.8. Water temps are now always 21c thanks to my new DIY water chiller which is working like a charm. I ran the two water tubes into the top lid next to my air hose. The roots are looking really nice. PPM is 666 (how'd that happen? :D )

Bit of an update. After using this Hydroguard, I noticed a couple of leaves with burned tips. Nothing else has changed, and I am using the same feed chart that I have had good success and without nute burn. Seems to me that the Hydroguard stuff did something positive for the roots, and the plant may have taken in more nutrients than it normally would have. Might need to lower the amounts of nutrients when I change water in 2 days.
