tip tip can i ask you 1 question what monitor are you running and what rez you running at
cause thast a big game changer dude
im running ultra at 1900x1200 while achieving minimal 43fps in high combat situations
i understand you can run the game great but at what resolution with hbao and everything up?
edit ps if i get another card and run crossfire i could prolly get even more fps
and ima pc enthusiast so the parts matter
and as why the nerd talk is out cause someone asked me the sytem i was running
when i said that bf3 is pointless to get on consoles its half the gameplay thats available on the pc

AMD B50 quad (was dual) overclocked to 3.5ghz, 4 gigs of ram, HD5770.
running a 22" at 1680x1050. Also I use a Logitech G13.

BF3 IS the let down of the decade,
after playing bf2 dedicated since 2005 on pc.
i had high hopes for bf3, but was bitterly disapointed. i have to give it the benefit but cant get in to it.
i also played mw3 on ps3 as all the cod series is better on console, and found too much going on in the maps, so reverted to back to black ops.
i cant get to grips with console joy pads as im used to mouse and keyboard, so for console i bought a penguin eagle eye which enables me to use mouse and keyboard on ps3.
also my pc specs are:
amd x6 t1100 oc'd to 4ghz,
8gb ddr3 1800mhz,
asus crosshair vi,
asus hd6970 stock,
2x ssd in raid0
ps i moved from pc to console to get away from cheaters only to find their on there too.

when people complained about 2142 i though it rocked and it fucking did
when people complaineed about bfbc2 i thougght it as well fucking rocked and it DID
now everyone once and while i hear people whining about BF2 and how its the best battlefield and yada yada yada
well its bull and bf2 lacked even in comparison to bfV
the gameplay is where its at the only thing so great about bf2 is the moding ability
and if im not mistaken bf3 is becoming modable
the majority of people who played bf2 played the mods not the original if thats saying anyhting
ive just played every instance of the game extensively and i can tell you bf3 is by far the best for gameplay wise but nothing could compare to 1942

PB has eliminated hacking completely play on PB only servers maybe you wont have a prob

i played bf2 with out any mods, on pb servers and cheating was blatant even with the ggc streaming.
also bf2 was everything the bf series was supposed to be.
i enjoy battle, on foot, vehicles and should be played this way not silly camping
i didnt play bfv, i did try bf2142 and it was a mediocre game at best.
pb failed to catch most cheaters, so ggc tried to intervene by watching demo's and banning suspicious players.
there are cheaters on ps3 using lag switches and modded pads using macro's.
there was also a working hack for ps3 but that was patched out and players consoles were banned from playing.
from your post i would hazard a guess your also mostly a sniper player and dont particularly get involved in battle?

1920x1080/1900x1200. I run either on a 42" lcd or a 24" samsung TFT. I used to be a complete whore when it came to buying the latest and greatest, for the past many years though i've found zero reason to upgrade anything. I might one day upgrade the processor, but that will be purely from a power onsumption point of view.

lol i did really try and get on with it, but im afraid its garbage and not alone in thinking this.
maps are way too big.
and whats with having to unlock weapons on vehicles. there wont be a game imho that can compete with bf2 for full on battle.
i mostly use my rig for ventrillo while i use ps3. oh and also riu.

ya I hate in bf3 you have to unlock attachment for each individual weapon like cod. also the maps are too huge I don't like having to run for 5 min to get from deployment to first base. and it seems like all the guns have a shit ton more recoil. and the clip sizes are totally fucked up and you die in fire unlike bf2
