what about putting coffee grounds or beer in your soil...has anyone heard of this being a good thing as far as nutrients ??

coffe grounds are good organics,but there acidic so you cant use very much
as for beer the book i read mentions nothing about it

Never heard of it in my life, coffee, beer, aspirin i would give it all a miss, good nuits is the way along with some love.

cofee grounds are high in nitrigen,best to compost it first with other carbon rich things like fallen leaves,,, beer no freakin way, asprin, ther was a study done with asprin in the gardening community but i havnt read up on it in awhile, but sounded promising, for garden and house plants, not sure what it would do to marijana. as for buying nutes, it would be your best way to go, and start a compost pile, its always great to have fresh compost around

dumping beer on it is just a way to get the plants a shot of co2. Women use it for their potted plants. My mom always used to do this for her house plants. I've put a couple cans in my super skunks this grow. Its better than no co2 at all i guess, but it doesn't make any kind of miracle changes to your grow. It doesn't hurt, but i dont think it really helps a whole lot either

Tussel is quite correct about coffee grounds.... loaded with nitrogen but needs to be composted. If you grow outside, you should have at least one compost pile going. I have 5 with different mixes of material. I add coffee to all of them as a basic mix in.
