Colloidal Silver Didn't Work- Plant still ok to harvest?

I have a small plant I wanted to try and get pollen off of, I put it under 12/12 lighting on 7/1 and on 7/7 started spraying with about 30ppm collloidal silver 3x/day for 13 days, I stopped spraying this past Sunday since I didnt feel it was working. The buds appear smaller than my other plants flowering at the same time but are coming along pretty good, from my notes I still have over a month to go before harvest. Is it still ok to finish and smoke, or is it tainted and should be thrown away? Right now it's just an extra plant, doesn't matter if I toss it or not.

What's the reason why? The silver solution is made to be consumed by humans. I've always seen people say it shouldn't be smoked, just never why.
