Color Changing Plants!

Wow havent been over to this thread in a while.. and shyyyytt.. I was missing all the purp pretty bud porn.. Greather .. LOOKING GOOD. I had to move to the valley last year.. but im in the process of moving back up to a higher elevation where I was before.. and maybe .. just maybe then I can get cool enough temps to bring out some PURDY colors. Its fun enough right now keeping my temps in the 70's when it will be 100 + for a good portion of the summer :(.

Yeah we used to live in the N. Glendale area of L.A and in the summers it was terrible. Definitely 90-100+ in the summer and when the station fire was going it was 120f+ and DRY no humidity we were literally 3 miles away from the hillside that was on fire! That was just 1 of the many reasons we moved to the mountains that and defense from zombies hahahaha!!!!!
 
Ya im in the IE if you know where that is .. and summers are horrible.. where I work its -20 degrees everyday .. SO i have zero tolerance for heat. I moved my family up into the mountains but we rented to see if we could deal with commuting and the winter... ABSOLUTLY LOVED IT. Bad news was they sold the house we were renting .. so.. back down in the valley burning up.. but IM gonna be Back up in the mountains within the year god willing!
Its a whole different life then this. Shyt the other night .. i was hanging with my 3 year old. just watchin some wa wa woobzie or however its spelled. Heard the Lovely ghetto neighbors having a party.. then they start fighting .. then they decide to start shooting at each right across the street from my house. Nothing like grabbing your shotgun and 3 year old and having to lay on the floor hoping no wild bullets go through my house. Ya ... I need to be back in the mountains.. only thing that bugged me up there was animal life.. easy solution.. move my trash cans away from my house.. Down here .. way too many gangs ect. Ok now im rambling.
Of course this is all bullshit and I live in neverever land LOL
 
Sorry to hear about the harsh situation. I wish I could relate, but came from an area were there was nothing like that and then moved up here were even less happens. Big Bear has a load of rentals all over the place and a couple of decent highways for commute, but no work at all. We hope your situation changes and you can live the way we should ALL live ...at peace and relaxed:joint::joint::joint:
 
Dang! The buds are like royal purple! Even the veins of the leafs are dark purple and then deep dark green healthy leafs. You sir have some top notch color changing genetics. Thank you for sharing your beautiful plants with us all.

Ahh phyzix DANK purple budz as always. Beautiful budz what kinda strains are those beauties if you don't mind me asking? Got a smoke report?

thanks man.. yeaa this is my 1st purple plant and it is turning out GREAT so far! and yeaa alot of the newer leaves are coming out purple as well. the strain seems to be a bit leafy tho.. =/ but i dont mind. it'll be worth it. and no problem man. ill be sure to post more pics as it get older and of course ill post sum harvest/bud shots as well once its time. =)

thanks.. i know its crazy... its hard to tell by the camera/pics... but in person.. the buds almost look black! its awesome tho.. gonna be kinda wierd breaking up adn smoking sumthing this dark.. almost looks fake! before i started growing.. i didnt even kno there were plants/buds that could grow this dark... never thought id be growin sumthin like this. i just pollinated my sensi star plant (well 1/2 the plant is pollinated) with sum floja pollen on tues. =) hopin to make sum cool purple crosses of my own

damnnnnn.......................... just COMPLETELY put my plant to shame!! hahahahaha. jk.. kinda. lol but seriously man... those are sum beautifull lookin buds... usually weneva i see purple plants.. they seem to have less frost on them than green strains (maybe the frost just shows up better on green plants...? idk) but those buds are frostier than alot of reg. strains... you should post that on my frostiest bud thread if u dont mind/have time. id LOVE to have those pics be a part of my thread.. im sur eplenty of ppl would be impressed with those sexy buds. is that the grapefruit diesel cross u made?
 
The seeds were made by Fdd, I grew them out as testers. The link is in my signature.

Definitely an attractive strain. I will make sure to spam my photos if I see your thread.

Cool colors at lights out will help a lot of plants achieve this. Not all but a lot. The majority of our original bag seed was flowered during summer months up here in the mountains and still turned colors due to genetics so you never know......
 
It is if you have any color changing plants. Winter is around the corner so anythings possible.;-)

I wish I got some shots of my outdoor before I harvested this year. My plants got very purple in the last few weeks.

This is some Black Domina that we got from a collective awhile back. They called it Donatello but we new what was really up.
At the moment we do not have colors changing plants going due to PM destroying all of our previous plants, but we are making a come back from it and plan on doing some seed shopping soon. Plus winter is almost here so bring on the colder temps!:mrgreen:
