Hey guys so I've got a question for you about this new law or whatever it is.
I have read it, and just have a question on it. I've only read it the one time (lots of confusing shit) but anyways. I read something in there that stated (Oh shit, just a sec, I'm going to have to go find at again, BRB, just a sec) damn man I can't find it!...
FINALLY found it, alright so read this:
HB1284
In May, the state enacted HB1284, which was signed by the governor in early June. The bill provides greater legal protection for businesses, their employees and, as a result, the patients. However, the protection comes at a cost. Among them is the elimination of the grower as a seperate business. All MMJ must be grown and sold by a Medical Marijuana Center. The grow and retail aspects must be handled by the MMC itself, in locations approved by the local government where the grow and retail premises are located. Finally, the primary caregiver was preserved, but eliminated as a business. The primary caregiver can only serve five patients and must provide the medicine for cost only. On the positive side, the primary caregiver exist only at the will of the patient, not the state. Please refer to our blogs for further analysis of this sweeping change in Colorado medical marijuana law.
So I'm not exactly sure on what THIS means...
Here's the question: Is it illegal for a MMJ patiend (like myself) to buy medicin from another MMJ patient if I do not have them signed over as my caregiver?
Alright so I have my MMJ license, and I have a friend that does aswell. Is it legal for me to sell him some of my meds just so that he doesn't have to go to the dispensary? (He can't drive or anything, and is kinda screwed in that aspect, and just recently got his card and has signed nobody over as his caregiver yet. He wants to grow his own meds)
So, is a caregiver selling medicin to another caregiver, neither party has the other's caregiver rights, each party is ther OWN caregiver, can one party sell meds to another party legally?
