Alright brother I just got done reading that bill, and what the fuck are we going to do. What as a coalition of pot smokers and growers alike are we going to do that could help change the wording of such a letter. I personally don't know the legal restrictions that a senate bill can have on it and what us as normal people can do about it...That part about the "Board" serving the government right there tells you they are trying to take the power back from us...We need some cunning legal types to help reword this written garbage to better suit OUR NEEDS not the fucking government. God Damn it I need to go smoke a bowl this stuff gets me so worked up
Want power? That's easy, doing it is the hard part.

1. Get a bunch of legal growers to agree to pony up 10% of their net profits.

2. Find a good lawyer that likes DC to start a union.

3. Find a good lobbyist, hire him/her, and send them to DC with a fat check book in hand.

4. Keep advertising for new union members to keep that check book fat.

Like I said, it's easy to know what to do, doing it and finding growers willing to pony up the cash is a different story. But if you find a really good lawyer that likes the idea, they may do the leg work.

Be back later, got work to do.

Is there a massive shortage of MJ right now or what in CO???( not just top shelf but all meds???). I have been visiting a few dispensaries in the DENVER/CO SPRINGS area and most seem to be running low on the goods. I spoke to one dispensary owner yesterday in Denver and he was talking about the vendor shortage with all the new dispensary opening up. Are you guys running into the same problem or heard of this in your area??? What the hells going on???-----who's smoking all the shattttttttttttttttttt????????????damn!!!
Colorado Supply/ Demand issues REAL SOON!

I just watched a segment on 9 News about Colorado dispensaries and the number of patients. Wait till you hear this:

They said the CDPHE is backlogged with new applications for patients to the tune of 40,000 total apps. There are about 17,000 active now. Here's the BAD part:
Many counties are putting limits or moratoriums on any NEW dispensaries for over 6 months and imposing zoning violations on some existing ones.:wall:

There are over 700 dispensaries in CO right now, with 250-300 in Denver area alone. With no NEW outfits being able to open, and the number of NEW patients increasing, DEMAND will wipe out SUPPLY in no time flat. We are already seeing it.
Also, the lawmakers are still pushing that revised bill that limits caregivers to only having 5 patients! This is NOT good news, in any way, shape or form for MMJ patients.

Come on now, you don't honestly think that's any where near as good as a lobbyist with a fat check book do you?

And make no mistake, that's what we're up against. The religious right wing-nuts have plenty of cash. I'm surprised that we haven't seen any "reefer madness" types of commercials yet trying to turn public opinion against us. But give them time, those "swift boaters" will get around to it eventually.

New Jersey Law that just past. 14 states now.
"According to the Jersey legislation, marijuana can only be distributed at the doctor’s recommendation, and only to patients with one of five ailments: AIDS, ALS, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, and Cancer. The law gives the Department of Health and Senior Services authority to license marijuana distribution to six alternative treatment nonprofits throughout Jersey and the DHSS has six months to exact the rules of engagement, though restrictions are in place: The nonprofit centers must grow their own pot and do it indoors."

If you're worried about what's already in the room, then you should bomb before moving anything in.

As far as prevention, no-thrip screens on all your exhausts & intakes, and changing clothes after coming in from the outside before coming in contact with plants. And keeping pets far far away.

For extra security you may also want to invest in Lady Bugs. And UV lights never hurt, most bugs don't like em.

Hope that helps.

OK, did a search and I think I found it. They called these potato bugs in NY. Is this them? http://www.pestcontrolcanada.com/sow_bugs.htm

These things are slow crawlers, and they might dig, not sure. The only place you should have problems with them is outside grows. If you're growing outside, I'm sure there's a natural predator you can keep around, let me know and I'll try to locate it and tips on ways to attract and keep the predators around.

If you're doing an indoor grow, then just make sure the room is clean. Spray or bomb before starting your grow. And any protection you use against mites, like no-thrip screens, will be plenty enough to keep them out.

And of course use a good trusted name brand potting soil.

Thanks Dan your always a great help...I did a little research as well and it came up that they pretty much like moist humid places and feed off of dead plant material but becomes detrimental when it runs out of dead plant and goes after live ones...I was really curious to see if they dig into the soil and attack the roots cause that's what i'm really worried about...if they just hang out on stems and leaves it shouldn't be a problem with plenty of attentiveness...say how are those clones doing Dan?
