Honestly, being wees nerds why are so many folk running Tga gear on this site. Lots of middle of the road stuff.

Recently, (for me anyways) I have been running TGA gear randomly.
The last last time I went to my favorite local dispensary, I checked out their clone area and looked over the various strains. I had grown quite a few of the strains they had in stock at the time, so I just grabbed 2-3 of the healthiest, most established clones of which I had never grown before.
Jack the Ripper was one of them, Dairy Queen was another...
I just got done harvesting the JTR not too long ago, and have been smoking on a few of the nugs. The taste and smell are super sweet like a bubalicious flavor of gum I just can't put my finger on. The high on it is only slightly above average, so nothing to write home to mom about...The pheno itself required a larger pot than normal, this plant develops a large root system fast. Yield was average. I may or may not keep this plant around.
As far as smoke goes, I have tried a good amount of his strains via various shops around town and I must say that the only one I had a decent interest in was Pandora's Box. That strain seemed to have a little bit of kick to it where the others fell a little bit flat. (Plushberry, JTR, Space Bomb, CheeseQuake) Don't get me wrong, all of those strains have great aromas and wonderful tastes to them, (ESPECIALLY Plushberry) but the potency just isn't there.
ALL IMO.

HB - "Weed Nerd" is sort of a Subcool coined phrase, and the name of his You Tube show. Naturally, a thread about Weed Nerds will be centered around TGA gear.
FWIW, I've grown Jack the Ripper, Apollo 13 BX, Querkle, Dairy Queen, Vortex, Qush and Pandora's Box from the TGA lineup. Pandy will always have a place in my garden. A13 might have bumped Kali Mist for top sativa in my book. Probably need to run them both again side-by-side for the final showdown.
I don't have plans to run any of the others again but I do have a couple more of his hybrids that I plan to pop at some point.

We are just a group of like minded people who favor his genetics. Doesn't mean all other seeds are off limits except for fem seeds. When done right none come close to tga. He's also working with a seed co out of Amsterdam now some interesting crosses on the horizon.

Whered you pick up your BCS? you have a real BCS cutting or just running a BCS dominant AoS/PB?

Yeah thats why im asking. more than likely when Raeofsun says theyre running BCS theyre actually running an AoS or PB dom pheno.

Hey we do not know the genetics of our BCS, we got it from a dude in Denver as a clone. I will have read more on her parents to let you know how she is running. She is a big girl! She got beat up as we almost lost her due to crap thrips we got from a clone we brought in (we now have an iso tent for that!) here she is we are cutting her down today. Can you tell which pheno she looks like?

Monster plant Rae! kinda hard to get too good of a look with the hps and all the shade. once you get to trimming u/l some bud shots and while i cant promise anything ill give it a shot. btw you get your clone from a store or private grower?

We will take some bud shots in a few days, they are hanging. We got the clones from a private grower "for a disp" supposedly.

Smells and looks fantastic and the plant was purchased from a dispence grower that I have no reason to doubt as all the genetics received from him were quite excellent. Bubba, Tahoe and BCS proved to be fantastic even for amitures. Sucks to not know the phenos but with weed like this I am good not knowing well at least for now...

i have no idea so I am believing whatever you say right now, lol. So here is a couple bud shots of her, they are drying and need more trimming but maybe someone an tell by the buds how she grew.

yeah chef its one of those pacific northwest states. and even sub and dioxide had a bitch of a time getting the genetics from what i understand. if it was true BCS you would know. purple/red/maroon buds and smells like the soda, thus the name. i hate to say but i dont think its the real BCS.
there are 2 very real possibilities that im thinking in regards to your plant tho, Rae:
1. ex-tga breeder suny cheba made a Black Cherry(not to be confused with BCS) which is Dannyboy x Black Russian. the Black Russian male has long since been lost, but it could be a Black Cherry and your source just got confused. still that Black Cherry is just as rare if not more rare than the BCS since black cherry was created years ago and was not an official release and Black Cherry Soda is a more modern/current strain.
2. your dude got some Ace of Spades(BCS x JTR) and a couple of things happened. he was hoping for the BCS pheno of AoS and so he is calling it BCS, or that situation happened with whomever gave him the cut. could have been a miscommunication. who knows
Im leaning towards number 2. cant smell the flower through the computer but bud structure kinda looks like JTR to me. maybe its AoS with JTR type growth but BCS smell. could even be a Plushberry but bud doesnt look like PB to me.
not trying to burst your bubble but this is what i am led to believe. trust, i wanted you to have a real BCS cause i would hunt you down, find you, and somehow convince you to give me a cut. either way it is still beautiful medicine so great job none the less!
