Hi all feel free to post any comments/sugestions u may have

i got the seed from rhino seeds breeder is advanced seeds couldnt find much on the strain so im assuming its fairly new (ICE KUSH)

I have built a cupboard with interior measurements of :
1670mm high
1325mm long
910mm deep

i will be using cyco coco and perilite aprox 80/20 cyco platinium a+b veg n flower and superthrive
i will be using a recycling drip system i know i should just drain to waste but we have water restrictions here so im gunna give it a try

socked rockwool cube for 1hr in a solution i made up
(1 ltr distilled water 2 drops super thrive 2 drops a+b flower 1 cap h202 3% ph 6.2)
then i placed the cube in a mini greenhouse 25*c seed was inserted sideways

just up the local hydro shop they sell em on ebay to if ya couldnt be stuffed going to a hydro shop lol

i got lucky with the cupboard got it on ebay dirt cheap then just got a couple pieces of malamine or whatever its called and and extended it and had some yellow tongue lying round for roof n floor on the extended part i would like it to be a bit higher but its only 1 plant so tying it down should allow for that

Ickys doing well shes about 1.5 inches tall now

started showing roots so she got moved to a new bed which i sooked in water with a couple drops of superthrive and h202 and ph 5.8
been watering her twice a day by hand with ph 5.8 water

im not doing dwc man bongsmilie
i am doing a ebb n flow drip system this time round i have seen this set up in action and felt a little more comfortable doing it for my first grow:weed:
im thinking bout doing dwc next time but i got to put some thought into the set up as i have arthritis and well wont be able to lift the tops when its time to change the water although i did see a set up on the net last night that had a reservoir set up under the plant container that feed a sprinkler system set up to spray the roots and then just drain back into the reservoir:bigjoint:

At the moment shes just sitting in the mini greenhouse with no lid in a rockwool cube

there's not really much to update at moment although she has her first set of true leaves come out but thats about it ill take a pic and post it shortly

Hi all
still not alot happenning room got a lil hot and now i have a lil bit of browning on bottom leaf tips not sure if that is why though other than that she seems to be comming along nicely

Is that a rubbermaid trash can just incase it is they leeches nuti and will make your PPM go up the rubbermaid tubes or totes are betternice room good luck..

if you are talking about the pot icky will eventually be in its a 28litre pot sitting inside another pot for drainage i got from the hydro shop i have lined it with a pot bag and then i screwed in eyelets all round the top to tie down to and to be honest i am not clear on what rubbermaid is i see peeps mentioning them in post and what not but im in australia dont think we have em here

at the moment she is just in a large rockwool cube sitting on the base of the mini greenhouse once roots show through the cube i will put her into the pot

Rubbermaid is a company that makes plastic containers. They are sturdy but have a little give to them and are easy to work with if you have to cut them. That's what I make my grow boxes with. I think he is talking about the first picture in the second set that you posted. The container under you mini-greenhouse. I don't know if chemicals being leeched out of the container is anything to worry about though. I see lots of people using plastic containers for their reservoirs. He could be right though and it may cause the ppm of you water to increase, but I don't know how much it would raise it.

oh lol that isnt a reservoir that is a tub i cut a hole in the lid filled with water put in a water heater so it would heat the base of the greenhouse as i ran out of money and couldnt afford a heat mat at the time ie ghetto heat mat lol oh and i put in an air pump to keep the water moving helps heat it better

Haha, nice. I make all my stuff myself too. Macgyver is my hero. Good idea for a heater too. I couldn't find a heating mat that didn't have a two hour limit timer on it so I tried riging a coffee mug warmer to sprout some seeds and burnt a circle in my hardwood floor. Plus the mug warmer half melted. I guess they aren't meant to be on for a week straight. I think your idea is much better and I'll make something like that for this winter when I need to sprout some.
