Coming out of the closet (2,600 watts!!!)

So i have been a long time lurker here and have learned just about EVERYTHING i know from this site. I would like to tip my hat to the great community and all the great info. Ass kissing aside, lets get to business. I went from closet CFL to a 600 w HPS in a 3x5 area. So i came across the deal of a lifetime... 2 1000w HPS with bulb, ballast, and sunsystem air cooled hood/reflector for $150 each. Haha, now that your done crying i have some questions. I want to use a room in my place to set up my first big grow. I know there are many threads on "what should i do" and i have been reading many but feel each person has a different situation. I have lots of questions.

1. I can get a 400w MH for veg super cheap also, should i pick it up or just keep the 600 and use a conversion bulb?

2. What area would a 600 MH cover compared to a 400 and could i put my clones in the same room? (veg plants up high, clones down low?) If it's too much light i'll just put the clones in a diff spot.

3. I have done DWC, rock wool (for small scrog), and flood and drain. What is good for a large scale grow? I was thinkin maybe half scrog half flood and drain with two strains?

4. Anyone got any good links for wiring a sub panel? I used search just looking for YOUR favs.

5. I have two windows right next to each other. I can either do one intake and one exhaust (and seperate them) or try to do intake from the rest of the room but the only place for air to enter the room is the 2 inch crack under the door. Any ideas?

6. If outside temps are 80-88 during the day should i run my flowering rooms at night for cooler temps or is it ok to intake air this hot with air cooled hoods?

7. I know this goes in strains thread but what are some good yielding and strong indica dominant strains and same for sativa dominant? I am really considering one light to each strain.

8. Also O/T but what sites do you suggest for seeds in the US?

If anyone has any questions for me, comments, suggestions, SHOOT!

Alright here is from my " reading " the best or one in my opinion the highest yielding Plan..

To Start i have some guestions: Qestion 1. where is this room located in the house and what is the demenisions of the space u have to work with??

I would say more light is always better. If you have the room to partition things off thats the way to go. One light per strain sounds like a good Idea to me. You said you have 2 600s... or 2 1000s? Either way pretty sweet. A 400w MH would be great for vegging clones. You could get on a rotation for continual harvest.

Consider an in-room air conditioner. They pull air from inside the room but exhaust the heat through a window hook up. Hot air will not get cooled very much by just blowing it around. You will need something more to keep your temps down. I always run my 12 hrs on at night. Can you get an intake installed through the wall into another room?

Not sure about your strain or seed question... I do not grow in Dro but I would say always go with what you are comfortable with first, then experiment with different things you might like to employ.

I don't want to turn this into a flame war but if you don't have a question about a post, a suggestion, or some sort of constructive criticism please don't post here. Especially if you are going to post several times with no information at all. In any case i have a normal AC which will work fine i'm more concerned about exhausting and intaking from so close (the windows are next to each other so my exhaust and intake will be about 3 feet apart?). I have two 1000w HPS and one 600w HPS. I will either get an MH conversion bulb for the 600 or just sell it and get a 400 as it seems like a lot of power for cloning/vegging but i guess i may need it if im flowering so much. I can't install an intake from another room as our walls are concrete with rebar. The room is 10x12.

Hey man sorry that people are leaving nonsense bullshit posts. I really don't have the green thumb quite yet to confidently answer any of your questions seeing as though I'm about to embark upon the same journey you are in a few months setting up two 1000W HPS lights with a 400W MH. Though I can't answer your questions, and I doubt anyone will be generous enough to post a response to everything your asking... I think I can help. I did the same thing asking a bunch or serious questions I needed answered and everyone told me to individually ask the questions within the forum and just do some research so thats what I started to do. I did a little research and before you know it I stumbled upon this beautifully written masterpiece thread that was started by Al B. Fuct describing and walking you through a grow operation that uses exactly what you have; two 1000W HPS lights and a 400W HPS for mothers.

Here's the link, I really hope it helps... Though I don't post or talk much on these forums, this thread has helped me beyond anything I could have researched or asked. It has everything. This guy Al B. Fuct is a genius and makes it easy to understand. Take care!

Hey Kid, relax! If u think u can come on here and talk shit to the ladies and be a total dick and get help ur wrong. First off your talking to stoners, u think anyone wants to read ten ?'s and then try to answer them. U say u lurk around but u seem not to know shit... You are worried about ventilation when u can just run some duct and inline fans and ur done with it. And then u say your interior walls are made of concrete and rebar??? Where are u, in jail? Take a deep breath, apologize for being a dick and then I will be glad to help u out with any grow room design.
