  • whats up? Im a 22 year old student from Florida taking my spring vacation to L.A. this year. you can see from my past threads that I have some experience growing and actually did a lot better than I thought i would my first go around. Since then, i dont grow anymore because Florida fucking sucks. However, I still stay on the best weed available to me. But, I know my weed has nothing on the dank out west..

    SO I was hoping someone on here in the LA area could give me some advice or tips about getting some dank weed when I get to Cali. Ill be there 4.17-4.24 and would love to take part in some 4/20 festivities on that saturday. Ive read about some Dr's writing recommendations for non residents but I wasn't too certain of the legitimacy of this 'practice'. I want to smoke top shelf dank the whole time I'm there. anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance

Regardless, Cali>Florida...

As for getting yourself some dank...I wouldn't try to find a doctor to write a rec for out of state patients...instead go somewhere like Venice beach and just follow your nose. Always people smoking in Venice beach...

In fact, I just met this guy from Arizona down at venice like a week ago in a head shop. The guy selling him a pipe joked about taking nugget donations, so i said id donate some nuggets...salesman backed down, but the guy buying a pipe spoke up. He said he'd been looking for weed for the past couple days, so I hooked him up fat...he was super stoked. Ya never know, I do frequent Venice beach.

LOL nice Meta. Gotta be careful around here. Most head shops wanna get all indignant and kick you out if you talk "weed" talk. LOL

If you wanted to get your rec so you can do a 4/20 collective crawl, or go to other medical events, or just experience the inside of a dispensery and buy seeds clones & medibles, what you could do is...
Some doctors only require a piece of mail to write you a rec. So you could take something like a Netflix account and change the address and take delivery of a dvd (it could be a hotel no one will check). Use said envelope to get your rec. Venice is a great place for Doctors that are the most lenient, but I have never heard of anyone being denied a rec.

And if that is too much I'm in La, maybe, if you pm me and ask me really nice and I'm in a good mood I can help you out with something.

Yeah, definitely not the case in Venice beach...it's a madhouse down there...they have 4 or 5 doctors writing recs on the boardwalk, and like 12+ headshops in a mile, mile and a half stretch.

Half the people working in the headshops are stoned all day long, and you can just go in a rap about bud wit 'em. I even had one guy try to trade me pieces out of his personal collection for some amber glass I made, and tried to get me to sell him ounces of it for like 12 bucks a gram...

You all are awesome. I can't wait to get out there. So whenever I want to smoke, I could just go to Venice beach and not risk it in the hotel? I don't think I'll ever come back to Florida.. Lol

You can basically smoke in ca anywhere. Just keep it somewhat away from other people and you're fine.

I always smoke in the non smoking rooms of hotels. Blow it out the window, into the AC if it's a good one, or use a vape. :) I hate smoking rooms in hotels. They smell like smokers. Heh heh.

^ i do this too..but i make sure to only burn in the bathroom...and i use febreze...i don't want others to feel uncomfortable about the smell...

400, just be careful if you smoke outside, the more casual you seem the better, lol. If you get a room, you can smoke in the bathroom with hot shower on, will help with smell and all, keep fabrics away. As for gettin the stuff, its pretty much all around Venice as people said, and all around the valley; north hollywood, van nuys, hollywood, etc. as well as in the NELA; Eagle Rock, Pasadena, Highland Park, etc. Lots of peeps around here that smoke, you can go up to peeps and ask em let em know you're from out of town and all, some people will help you out...

Awesome. I normally just smoke in my car when im on a trip but I won't be risking it in the rental. I'm pretty fucking excited to say the least. Anyone know of anything cool going on for 4/20?

I smoke in every hotel I ever go to in the non smoking room and never have an issue. If there's a gap under the door just put a towel in front of the gap. Make sure you got several hours of time to let the room air out before you check out no prob :) Hate the smoker room smell, especially when it's got that uriney smell mixed in.

And besides, even if a cop catches you in mid toke the most he can do is give you an infraction ticket. Make sure you have less than an oz on you. (over a zip with no rec and you're going to jail.)

Just use some common sense.
