Alrighty than, we are getting our big stuff delivered this week and going shopping this weekend and hope to get growing in the next couple of weeks.
First, my soil plan was just to get some high quality ph balanced soil. I've read Black Gold and Sunshine are good but will have to go with what the local shop has. I was planning on mixing in about 1/3 perlite and one cup dolomite lime per cubic foot. I plan to end up in 3-3.5 gallon pots. Ok, so far?
I think I have decided on the trio pack of FF nutes. The local store has a three pack of Big Bloom, Grow Big and Tiger Bloom. They also carry B'Cuzz, Earth Juice, Dyna Gro/Bloom and Flora Nova brands. I just like that the FF has the little quart size tri for $44. Any strong opinions towards one of the other brands over the FF?
Than, I've been reading about adding in 1 tablespoon of bat quano and one teaspoon of black molasses per gallon of water to add in when flowering??? Do I use both this mix and the FF nute at the same time or is that too much? Would I use this mix the entire time in flowering or just towards the end?
I'm also a bit concerned about our tap water. Its city water and taste ok but you can smell the chlorine in it. If I just like it sit for 48 hours before watering my plants with it will that be ok? I know I have to check the ph level but I'm worried about what else is in there? Should I go to the added expense of distilled water for the seedlings than switch to my tap water?
