Compensating high ppm water?

Hey riu I was wondering my ppm of regular water is430! Wtf so when adding nutrient do I factor that number in when adding nutes, or ignore the 400 ppm water? So say 1000 pom is really 1400+

man... is your water brown out the tap? that ppm is HIGH as all get out...

I'm lucky... my tap water comes straight from canna-heaven... ppm around 60-70 with a pH of 7-ish

personally... I'd look into getting a filter or buying distilled water if I were you

get an RO unit, or a distiller, or buy your water.
where do you live ? NYC? complain to your city.

Lol my water comes out clear maybe unit needs calibration? What solution do I need to tcalibrate

You drink that shit? Just because it's clear doesn't mean it can't have a PPM that high.

My tap water is like 350-400 and its not really that shitty to drink, I know exactly whats in it, its way more regulated than drinking water they have charts with the ppm value of everything in it so you know exactly whats in it

* i dont use it for my plant though

No I don't 'think' that just because its clear it can't have high ppm however I know I have not calibrated in a long time. And can I get ro cheaply?

As the first response to your post said, and you, you factor in the amount to your expected ppm. I used city water in my DWC with no issues, it fluctuates weekly between 250-300ppm.

And the water tastes just fine.
