i think you can use it but because its been processed and bleached most go for molases, some body might be able to help give a better explination on why most use molases rather than normal white sugars

yeah man ive used it so nice too, better taste then molasses but plants use molasses quicker, its all basically cane sugar some more pure with more trace elements but the plant sees it as carbs just like we do.

most confectioners sugar has baking powder or something like it so the sugar wont cake up. I would want to put that in my res. It could clog up sprayer or emmiters pretty quick. I use molasses or fructose. They re both simple sugars which are easier for them to break down

An old grower told me once at band camp that he melted life savers and added that to his res a few days before harvest. For a real kick he would throw a honey bun into the reservior the last night. He said it was a beeyatch to clean but tasted good.

Sounds like you are doing hydro since you said res... if you are running a water pump in there then you might want to re-think the molasses. I believe it will clog up your pump and sprayer heads (if you have those).

I would be interested to see how it ends up. But I have my doubts.

Generally speaking, people think their bud tastes better whenever they add something, mainly because they want to justify adding something. It's the same thing with all of those crazy additives.

Not saying that it does nothing, just that I wouldn't be surprised if it did very little.

Not to mention adding straight sugar, or a honey bun for that matter, would do nothing but add diseases.

if u add fruits to ur soil with the sugar it makes the plant smell or taste like what u put in it like strawberries , blueberries or mangos.

I'm going to have to call bullshit on this one. I use bat guano in soil before, and my plants never turned out smelling or tasting like shit.

The aromatic compounds in in fruits can not be pulled up through the plants root system, transfered into energy, then re-transfered back into the same aromatic compounds.
