Confirmation of Hermie

I am growing using clones from my previous grow which had seeds when it was finished!

I suspect it was a genetic hermie and I believe I found the descendant here (I took one clone from each of the previous).

I am about 4 weeks into flower right now.

Strain is "Fucking Incredible" from VISC.

The investigation:

I believe I have found the hermie. The growths don't look like balls, they are more like "nanners" and they are only on the lower buds. Some of them seem to actually be half female flower and half "nanners". I'm not 100% sure this isn't just underdeveloped female flowers or not, but the other 5 plants don't have these.

Now the question is what do I do? Do I kill this plant and let the other 5 thrive? Do I inspect this one daily and always cut off the suspicious looking growth? The plant is still very nice and I really hate to throw it away, but I can't afford to have all seedy bud again, that shit sucks.

A little confirmation from you guys would go a long way as I'm high and I pretty much already know the right move is to slash this mother fucker to pieces.

My white widow has done the same thing 7 weeks in flower & last week i took down a Haze that hermied too. Have allready thrown away the clones from both, just a pain in the ass in door's. Chopped both & put in freezer for bubble hash.

The lights just went out on the others. this one is sitting in the kitchen. Today's it's last day on this planet. My last crop was seeded to shit and I never found the culprit. The worst part is that I passed these clones on to a friend and I don't have these marked by # anymore. I have no way to tell him which descendant it is.

Fuckin' hell man, I hope none of these have already opened, but either way I have to minimize the damage. Good news...none of the others look like this at this point so hopefully I've caught it early and all will be well.

yep looks like nanners that have released all ready. If it wasnt only 4 weeks, i say let her go. Once there is a nanner, it almost impossible to get them off the plant with out exposing the other ladies to their evil pollen. The nanners will show up everywhere once they start becoming a hermie.
Like the guy above me said, best thing you can do is throw that tranny whore in the freezer for the bubble.

Ive noticed youll find most hermie flowers on the lowest budsites on the plant. Especially when one has already gone hermie. if you have the same stock of seeds as the one that turned on you, you have a good chance of them all turning. Had cheese that all went hermie years ago. Check from there up. if need be, lollipop those ladies.

Well none of the others have seemed to turn hermie on me yet. It does look like they've already released their pollen. Not a whole lot I can do about that now, but I'm going to kill this piece of shit right now.

They were all from the same seeds and they were all $140.00 per 10 pack. What a fuckin' rook that turned out to be. I've wasted so much time/money and effort on these goddamn plants. If the other 5 hermie I'll go fuckin' ballistic. Hopefully if anything they will only seed the lower parts of the other plants. How shitty.

Anybody have a good link to instructions on making hash...what I need and how to do it? I'm going to try to use what's here for hash and I always have tons of trim that I throw away that really I should make hash out of and I'm down to do the work.

Just google or youtube bubble hash. Its quick and easy, and gives you close to pure hash. Oil and budder will make the most pure concentrate. If you just want a quick run, and dont mind contaminants, gumby hash. Although it does require a cold water extraction bag.
You said it looks like it released pollen. If it was only a few nanners that sprouted, its not a total failure. If they are everywhere, you can count on a whole seeded crop. Fooey!!
Look for pistils that have already started receeding before the normal dying off process. If you have them everywhere, its been polinated, you should just let them go another week or two, just to get a decent harvest of trichs.
I have a few pics of bubble hash process in my album, if you havent seen the end results before.:leaf:

Yeah I have aleady ordered the bags. I inspected it while I chopped it up and I'm not sure if I see already opened sacs or tiny ones. Either way I'm going to let these plants go as long as possible. Even if it's all seeded and shit, I'll just make hash out of it. My last batch is pretty seedy in spots. It was chopped early (because of the seeds) and hasn't cured fully yet, but I smoked a little bit the other day and it did the trick. It seems like pretty decent bud so there's no way at this point I'm throwin' it out.

My 12 new clones are in a seperate tent and still veggin' so they are safe for the time being. I may have some time tonight I might take the 5 remaining plants out, clean down the entire inside of the tent w/ water/bleach solution and put them back. I'll be inspecting thouroughly every other day for nanners from here out.

For the record that is 3 confirmed hermies out of 12 original seeds.

So it was 2 complete duds, 3 hermies (the other two were ridiculous, just half male/half female plants) 5 females and 2 males. I wouldn't say it's the worst record ever, but this strain just isn't stable.

I'm glad I'm finished with it after this grow, but in all reality finding one GOOD mother of this strain could yield a very nice crop. There were 2 plants out of the whole lot that were worth keeping and I believe one of them was the #1 (which is the hermie). So out of 12 seeds I do belive I would've had a viable mother (assuming it stays all female) and that's not really that terrible.
