Okay i just need a simple answer
I bought alot of fem seeds (different sorts) how do i make it have have female seeds ? Do i cause it to Hermie ? Of do i get a male ?
(i got males but they're from a different strain)
And if the answer is Hermie can i use light stress ?
Simple answer;
So you're trying to make your female plants (from feminized seeds) themselves make female seeds?
Some would advise against this, claiming that once-feminized seeds genetics aren't as "strong" as conventional sexually produced plants.
I don't know if that's true, but on the other hand, I am pretty sure that unless you're starting with an true-breeding line (and you probably aren't) any offspring produced by "selfing" a hybrid plant will NOT be genetically identical to the parent plant. So instead of ending up with "clones" of your original plant (which is presumably what you are after), you may end up with many different phenotype plants none of which are exactly like your original.
The absolute BEST way to perpetuate good female plants that you like is by cloning them (ie taking cuttings), and that's how the "pros" do it.
But to get back to your original question, yes, the way feminized seeds are created is by forcing a female plant to express male flowers (ie "go hermie"), and then using the pollen from the male flowers to fertilize a female plant (ie the same one, or a different one).
This is typically done using chemicals; eg colloidal silver, or gibberelic acid, both of which are available commercially.
"Can" it be done with light stress? That's probably *possible*, but it may not be reliable. Some strains are simply not susceptible to light stress and may not make male flowers no matter what you do to the lighting.
