Connecting two fixtures together

So I'm going to be taking the power supplies off my fixtures, two hlg 240h 1400 connected each separately to my vero 29 led fixtures each running at 210 max watts and mounting them outside my tent and I'm wondering about connectors that can be used to be able to plug and play if I want to move them out of the tent or whatever. The idea would be to connect the two dimmer leads and control them with one dimmer and also have less heat inside the tent but my question is about the connecters to the lights themselves on the dc side. I have something similar to these https://www.amazon.com/Ksmile®-Female-2-1x5-5mm-Adapter-Connector/dp/B01ER6QWAY?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_4 and they are rated for 12v. I was thinking with a 18 gauge wire I'd be fine but with those connectors in between I'm not sure. Can anyone offer some advice on that or suggest a better connector? Hopefully this makes some sense, I'm not really explaining it well.

Search g16 aviation connectors or waterproof electrical connectors.

;)

Why don't you use a soldering iron instead of cheap connectors that will likely fail. Nothing wrong with a soldering iron and some tape

Definitely a problem with tape.. if you're gonna solder, use heat shrink.
And he just wants to be able to thread his DC wires through tent holes. I see why he wants them. same reason I did it on my last build using g16 aviation. They work like a charm. Soldering each wire to EVERY individual pin, then Sliding heat shrink over it, to finish the job, was tedious, but fun too.

To control two HLG drivers, I suggest this dimmer... https://www.rapidled.com/cased-potentiometer-with-knob/

I wouldn't use 12v connectors, that driver can output 179v. Links and discussion here.... https://www.rollitup.org/t/how-would-you-keeo-drivers-outside-a-tent.968243/

Ya that dimmer is cool because it just works with any driver.

Probably the best way to go.
If you'd like though, since you'd have 2 drivers, 100/2=50, you could use a 50K ohm potentiometer from Amazon or eBay for pennies and also solder on a ("5"0)5K resistor just to make sure you've got the max wattage outta the driver.

I think that's the right resistor... Might be 10K...

I'm gonna check out those g16 aviation connectors, you get what I wanna do airwalker16. I already have some cheap 50k ohm potentiometers and I use 10k resistors on my current 100k pots so I'm pretty sure it's the 5k resistor for the 50k pot but I'll look that up again before actually putting it together. I'm not sure how those aviation connectors work though as they are advertised as ac? https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-G16-4-Aviation-Connector-Adapter/dp/B01GQ3W0SE are what I looked at, those would work? Or these seem better https://www.amazon.com/uxcell-Aviation-Connector-Waterproof-Fittings/dp/B07DC7NMVM/

Just buy some Dutche connectors from your local automotive shop they arnt expensive and they can handle decent currents

Those will work fine. They're on my DC side of my drivers so....
