https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-pics/index.php?n=4387 shows what the roots look like on the sides, its about like that on all sides. im suprised I havent noticed that before, I never payed any attention to the sides -_-.

After noticing it, I put down some green duck tape and layered tin foil over it and duck taped over that to block the light from the roots. now should I switch to something bigger or will this container still work?

this plants on is a little older than 6 days since it sprouted :-|

Is time of the essance? or can I wait? I dont really have anything to transplant to, except this big 1 ft tall sand bucket type thing... its bright orange or green or something, I was planning on using it at some point... but its very wide at the top and narrows down to a circular base only 4 inches wide -_-.

hmm I hope I can find something.

Nothing horrible is going to happen if you wait a few days or even a week. Make sure you have drainage in your current pot.

yeah theres like 8 holes from a nail at the bottom.

are the roots normally this large with plants this young? could they be streching for water?

The plant doesn't look like it is stretching that bad. Yes, any plant's roots can be a lot bigger then the plant that is above ground. Listen to Mogie and transplant as soon as you can. You definitely don't want the roots exposed to light. Good luck!
