container size to plant height ratio...

Hello all,

What is the ratio for container size in gallons to plant height?

I've searched and checked out the 101 questions thread with no prevail.

i have heard 1gal pot for every foot of plant its the rule of thumb i go by

i'd say it's more of a half gallon per foot. my friend has some 3 footers growing like crazy in a 1 gallon pot

Thanks for the input. I'll stick with 1 gallon containers. The roots will enjoy the extra space.

It really depends on the strain. Inddor varieties hardly need a large pot, but a land race strain will give extra dividends by having extra room.
