Yes 3-5 is good for plants but start them out in like little cups then transfe over. That way the have the room to grow quick not need to work around all the soil. Oh and make sure you dont put some hard nutrients yet otherwise it will burn your roots

general rule of thumb is one gallon per month of growth.. so two months of veg, and three months of flower equals a five gallon container..

i use 10lt for my fast finishing strain and 15lt for the slower ones, there in there longer so theyn need more room, 1 month grow and 2 month flower is about average for a hybrid, with a fast strain you could get away with say 3 weeks vege and 6 weeks flower.
