Getting ready for outdoor season
How many gallons is good for each plant?
Would 10-20 gallons be ok for the season?
NorCal
Used 10 gallon containers last year but just wondering if I should go bigger

I have the same question. NorCal/Central Valley. Getting ready to Germ some Blue Dream Seeds from Humboldt Seeds Organization. for this summers outdoor grow. Was gonna go with 10g pots but i wanna make sure i wont get root bound by the time September/August rolls around. Will be doing lots of training to keep those hoes below my fence line. Did a nice lil outdoor grow last summer but started late. I want to take advantage of the whole summer and get some MONSTERS!

I was in 25 gallon pots. Going to 100 gallon this year!

outdoor in cali you want BIG containers
we use 150 gals and get rootbound...
bigger is better.
always when it comes to a hot-high intensity sun grow
I also recommend using wet cardboard atop the soil to keep transpiration down.
assuming it's gonna be 100+ where you are
which the central valley is..
I know a lil about that area...
and you should look for the clone only SCBD bluedream, that shits ALL over the HSO
course clones are hard to vege outside without flipping

those pictured get rootbound every yr, regardless of strain.

I live in Fresno Co I started in 5 gal pots root bound before Mid May went to 20 gal root bound end of June. Chucked the pots completely.
Biggest that you can work with is your best bet.

especially down there..
the bigger the root zone the more it's gonna "shield" itself from the high air temps.
same way that dirt feels "cool" even on hot days
but raised small containers will suffer much more heat maladies than an bigger container or surface-grown plant
