Contemplating first grow

or Sog even.. it'd mean you could have a constant supply of bud just in smaller amounts, if you look into someones thread on here, i've forgot his name but someone else is bound to know, you'd be able to run the system to harvest every 2 weeks, that'd bring you in enough for the 2 weeks and a bit extra and you'd always have herb. MORE effort would be involved tho, i say stick with a normal grow first

i would rather have a lot at one time. if i want bit every 2 weeks i buy from guy at work.

No offense but since when did intensity of light determine plant count? I've seen 6K watt set ups for...wait for it... SIX PLANTS!

2 nice juicy plants under 400 or 600 W can keep a person or 2 happy easily for 3-6 month 4 oz a pop is very much attainable. I doubt a 150W set up will do the same.

Bob, you have really opened up a can of worms here with this thread. Do a little research, how tall is the tub? How much space for the lamp? How far will even an air cooled __watt lamp need to be away from the top of the plants? What does that leave over for the plant itself. Is that what you are looking for? Just on the light there are a ton of different thoughts. There are the can't have too much lampers and the why use a sledge hammer to drive a finish nail lampers and there are the cfl guys. Everyone will tell you that their system is really good and that makes perfect sense. They wouldn't use it if they thought that it was bad. Again, do a little research and see what will work for you. Don't forget that this is supposed to be fun. My advise, try and keep it simple and have fun with the grow. Good luck!

i have to agree with filerror. i could get a 1000 watt hps if i wanted. as long as i keep it cooled amd hang it properly and dont kill plants. i would love 4 ounces every 3-6 months

Temperature and humidity gauge, then your set to go i think

Don't forget a good bit of labour added into that list and any double sockets / plug extenders you might need.

Can't wait to see how it goes mate, keep us posted of when you've set it up, would love to see it.

i should be starting up around april when i have more work and cash flow. i think i am ready to go. just need funding to come in. ill post a link to the photo journal here when i get started.
