Contemplating scrapping the tent and throwing up false walls

I have a 4x6 tent for flower where I can grow ~6 medium plants. I think I could extend the grow space by a few feet making it 6x8 or so, and then also raise the height to the ceiling.

If I kept my plant count to 6 still, would the extra open air space be easier to regulate the temperature of?
I try to minimize my power usage and don't use AC. Hoping this would allow better airflow and slightly cooler temps due to more air volume

I have a flower room in a bifold 2 x 8 closet that is in an unheated/cooled room I do have an exhaust fan sucking in air from the house. I use about 6 foot of it. This summer when it was getting warm I started leaving the doors open, and when that got where the temps were nearing 90F I rigged up a box fan to just blow into the closet from the open room. Temps in the open room were <85F. In previous years it had gotten over 90F in the flower room but not this year.

I will always pick solid walls, never have used a tent, frame a spot up. How are you going to light a 6x8 area?

I have 3 x 240w lights that I use now. I would keep it and the plant count the same. But they could grow a little larger and certainly taller

That’s only 15w per sq foot and a 6 foot width is odd to light.

Hmmm Good point. I don't want to completely fill the space. I don't have access to my plants in the back now, so I was thinking I could give it a little space around all edges too... Allow for fans and shit as well.

I was thinking it would keep my plant footprint the same, same lights - but it would increase the height by 3-4 feet and the air volume by 250%. My main concern is trying to keep my temps and humidity easier to manage. Was thinking larger space would be easier than a small one. Not 100% sure

Check out @bk78’s setup, he’s running a 4x8 footprint but framed a bigger room for access around the plants.
