So where do I buy this powdered form without buying a tanker full lol. Searched a few sites but they were all industrial bulk shippers that dealt in tons not teaspoons. Even a pound would be overkill for my small indoor thing. Paid $50 for the hydroguard and it will last beyond the shelf life so if not for this glitch I would have pulled 4 runs at a cost of 12.50, I'll live with that lol.
I wish Florida, doubt I'd be in the swamp in the summer there though, get kinda hot lol. No I'm just north of the border in Ontario. And yes by boat, and nope no tourist go there. But I have seasonal people all around my place. When we were running lots of plants we would have a guy fishing and watching while other was working. Only way in was by boat or air drop so pretty safe. It has its draw backs though and is quite weather dependant as to the work required. My last run I did by myself and had 55 going. The day after harvest I had them in the back of. 5 ton van parked at my place when a cop showed up to see about a break in at another place, he was standing 30' away from what smelled like a skunks arse, last one I did and that was 6-7 years ago lol. Just getting too risky at my age and I'm doing ok after 30 years of doing the outdoor thing, just a hobby now.

Perhaps lol. I'm pretty close to the Thousand Islands region. A 5 min boat ride State Side even though I'm not allowed there due to a glitch lol.

I'm sure these guys no more about it than I do but from what I witnessed they are not perfectly white but more of an ivory color and when running tea they are a light syrup color. It's pretty easy to see the rot start and with my plants it started in the middle with the hairs starting to stick to each other. The clumps would progressively turn darker and start to drop off. The healthy roots are plump and look like cooked spaghetti lol. I think an off white is fine, but as soon as they started clumping I knew I had issues. I think with DWC the trick would be to get the oxygen deep into the root mass and as I've never done that I have no clue, other than lots of bubbles, how to do that. My setups are designed (hopefully) to survive a day or two with out power and with flooded root zones, power failures can be pretty unforgiving IME.
I'm glad your able to make a living doing what you obviously love. I was able to provide a great life for my family over the years but not without a few grey hairs in the process. Landing planes on ice by car light. Running trucks through Texas , Weeks without rain and camping by the fields. When I meet up with the crew every year we sit and laugh for a week about all the shit we did 20 years ago. Indoor legal seems like it would be a bit less stress lol. Perhaps if I was younger I might still be in the game but oh well I'll continue to struggle through my little 1000 watt hobby grow. Hope with the help of you guys I'll finally get it dialled.Hard to say. I had a "desperate" rdwc run several years back and nuked it with physian 20. Then benies.. the plants looked fine but didn't grow for like 3 weeks.
Look dude. Tystk and I do this shit for a living. And I'm not taking oh wow.. 10k watts. We are talking $150k + commercial build outs. My overhead is 20k a month so when she goes wrong.. it HURTS. It hurts REAL bad.
I currently have 96 5' tall plants, 55 2' plants and 55 small plants in DWC.
1. We never ever never let the water get above 67, ever. Typically it's 63-65.
2. We add 5 gallons of beneficial tea to our 200 gallon reservoirs twice a week.
3. We never use any kind of coco or dirt or whatever... it ALL has bugs in it.
4. New airstones every round. Yes, we buy 50 air stones a month
I have not seen root rot in about a year.
