Controlling your High

Hey guys, i have met a lot of people that feel they get out of control or feel insecure after they smoke pot because they "Become slow" mentally when high.

I want to say i was in the same thought process when i used to get high till i figured it out.
Marijuana is a mood enhancer, so what that means is you control it entirely. There is nothing negative about being high unless you make it. If you "Fight" the high you are never going to win.

because the high is actually changing the way you process information, you are trying to force your brain to make connections that you are used to (Endocannabanoids) but when you smoke pot your endocannabanoids are replaced with cannabanoids from cannabis. meaning it changes the way you perceive thoughts. it makes connections in your brain that are not normally made.

Alot of people don't need this advice since they came to the same conclusion naturally. but for those of us like myself that find marijuana a hinderance a first really need to figure this out. Insecurity is the main problem in being high, when you focus on insecurity or even have thoughts of it. it will ruin how you experience cannabis.

I don't know anything more than this, i changed my life with cannabis. Cannabis frees the REAL you. Don't be scared of yourself.

and a song for you boys.

Tolerance means nothing, if you get high enough the same thing happens. I made a post about how to control it not deal with it.

I have been utterly blasted and still scored an 89 on my final. do you think there is a point at which thinking linearly becomes completely impossible?

You made a post about eliminating my tolerance to MJ. Is this what you're saying?
Never said anything about eliminating a tolerance. Just about how to best conceive being high.

No, i believe if you have an complete control of marijuana it would actually allow you to come to conclusions that most people would not come to.

and my opinion there is a point where too much marijuana may be a hinderance, but think of it as your consciousness being 1000ppm in 1 gallon of water and marijuana increases the amount of water.

water being everything you preceive

If you are used to it, i am sure it becomes second nature but when you are really really high is what i am talking about. for new smokers it happens very regularly.
I always battled my high, dodging phone calls due to insecurity etc. it wasn't till i figured out cannabis that i started to actually experience truly being "High"

I just trip the fk out, I smoke, I'm good, calm again. At ease.
Its better for me, i don't trip. i realize where i really am in life and it gives me a goal, i have been living an empty life for the past 8 years. gained a badass addiction to alcohol because it makes me feel good. it ruined my life, i seriously paid for beer in quarters more than once. my life was ruined by alcohol and i gave up. Addicted to alcohol, tobacco and cocaine, i had nothing i could be proud of in my life till i started smoking pot. i found i didn't need anything when i started smoking. i have been sober for over a year and smoke free for 186 days. cannabis changes the way you precieve things, when put into perspective my life was a wreck. now i am back on track with shit. going to school to get a trade, but i'll never forget what marijuana did for me.

Interesting. I feel the same way, but I have a longer tale to tell than that one of why I use it to avoid other shit. I can relate.

Don't sell yourself short.

Cannabis is a great many things, but saying it changed your life gives undo credence to it.
I can agree it helps in many ways, such as you stated, it helps with your anxiety {much better than your previous drugs of choice} and other well known ills, but it's definitely not the elixir of life.

So the studies that show cbd stops growth in stage one cancer gets thrown out the window. People with waisting disease that regain their appetite? Here's a link for the cancer study. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/19/marijuana-and-cancer_n_1898208.html For some people it is the elixir for life.

I'm not disregarding the facts about how cannabis is effecting medical treatment throughout the world today and how positive those studies are, but to say that cannabis is giving life back is wrong IMO.

It doesn't have the power to regenerate dead tissue or fix the mutated gene responsible for the disease that's killing the person, but it's help in our bodies defense against certain aliments is astounding to say the least.
