Hi folks,
I recently purchased 2 400w COB leds (4x 100w Cobs) Lush Pro 400w COB Led panel - Hydro World It wasnt clear at the time that these are red and blue leds only, not full spectrum. As I understand it they wont really be suitable for an indoor grow where theres no natural light. Theres also a 600w HPS in the room so there wil be a little bit of the other spectrums for the plants under these lights but not a lot.

I got them pretty cheap at half price so Im wondering am I better off just returning these and taking a hit on the postage or would it be possible to get some white 100w COBS and replace maybe 2 of the 4 blue/red cobs with white cobs. If this is a reasonable route to take what leds cobs should I be looking at?

I keep seeing referance to people using cobs to build their own grow lights, can anyone point me towards a tutorial for that.

Thankyou.

You need to figure out what driver(s) you have first to try and match it with a suitable led.

I'd return those, you can do better. Boards and bar/strip lights give a better spread of light and can usualy be closer to the tops.

If you are in Australia, check out Grow lights Australia an Cutter Electronics.

Cheers fellas, I guess returning thems the way to go. I'll probably get in over my head and not end up saving any cash anyways if I try and do it myself.
