I am following the steps for cannabutter in growfaq.
https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=313

I have a crockpot with butter and water going.
I have 3 plant stalks and the leaves from 1 plant.
I also ground up 3 buds for good measure.
Under 15 grams altogether I would think.

I plan to let it go for the recomended 3 hours.
I doubt I will be up the whole time.
I have the crockpot on high right now.

I plan to add a lil more water and leave over night on low.

I will freeze the solution after straining in the morning.

I will report back with the results.

Hey olds
How and why are you pressing the butter?

Ok I added more butter and more water.

I am getting ready to strain it all here in another hour.

I could not find cheese cloth.
Gauze from my first aid kit looks like it will work.
I have unfolded the gauze and then folded twice over a plastic cup.

heres how i make bud butter first a take two one pound cubes of butter and i melt it down then i use a potato masher to mash in all the buds, stems, and leafs in the pot mash it down until theres just a little bit of the butter comes threw oh yha i forgot i dont put the burner on full just half way or not even just enough to melt the butter and to start to turn it green i dont want it to boil boiling axe like a veperizer and we dont want that then i put it all in the freezer for 24 hours to push the rest of the butter out of the buds, stems, and leafs

i then heat it back up to just about boiling then i press it the reason i press it is to get all of the butter out theres a lot of hidden butter in the stems, buds, and leafs this will be the strongest bach i get abought 95% of the butter back by pressing it then i throw all the buds, stems, and leafs back into the pot with two or three cups of water then bring to almost boiling then press it agin and you will get more butter back but not as strong as the first press then i put it in the freezer out separate

i will post a pic of the pess and butter this afternoon

well let us know how your butter came out

It came out very nice.
It seems to stay with you for quite awhile.

I probally used too much butter though.
The butter is more yellow than green
The plant taste is faint.

Tastes mostly like butter.

I have used it on toast and a bagle so far.
Trying to think of something to use it to cook with.

well like i said i posted the pics of the press in my gallery i also put some pics of my butter in too the smaller container has a lighter color peace on top of the 1s press wich is darker the bigger container has both mixed up i also put my butter in the new bach instead of fresh new butter cubes that makes it so strong and ever time you do that its stronger

Ahh shit.
So you really do press it.
Looks like a mandrale or an old clothes ringer.

Have you tried using it for hash?

Ahh the brewers secret.
I have heard cheese makers and beer co.'s do that.

Thanks for the info olds.

I started some more butter.
I believe this will be the strongest that I have made yet.
It has about 4 g's of ground midgrade buds.
It also has about 3 g's of ground up plant stalks.

It seems to be a darker green this time around.
I would say 3-4 shades darker green.

I followed the same method as before, it is in the freezer right now.

Not that I am aware of. I would not microwave weed.

Maybe you could put water in microwave safe bowl.
Cook until it boils.
I think atleast 3 min.
Then you could add the butter and the ground weed or plant.

The water will need to be boiling when you take it out of the microwave.

I would say let this mix sit for atleast 2-3 hours and then strain and freeze and scape.

I would recomend the crockpot myself it works best for me.

Put in a plastic cup and set it in freezer.
The butter will rise to the top as the water freezes.
Once the water is completely frozed (2-3 hrs) you can scrape off the butter from the top and put into your container for storage.

I'm cooking up a batch of cannabutter right now. I've got about a 1/4 of ground bud and quite a bit of accompanying keif stewing with 1-1/2 sticks of butter in a pot of water. I'm thinking some chocolate chip cookies sound good.

I want to try cannabis ice cream next.

Could you imagine a bud brownie, topped with vanilla cannaice cream and canna-whipped cream? Don't forget the cherry.
