cool tube

    1. my grow 006.jpgmy grow 001.jpgmy grow 009.jpgmy grow 005.jpgmy grow 003.jpgmy grow 008.jpgwas wondreing how close i can put my light to my plant useing a cool tube. i know its 18 to 22 inches with regular set up. my grow 010.jpgdidnt know if i could get closer with a cool tube. i veggied with cfl's for 3 weeks, and now i bought a 400 watt mh/hps set up.heres some pics.my grow 007.jpgbongsmilie

What ever your plants can handle, I've had mine 6-8" away from a bare bulb before and seen very little heat stress. Smaller plants you'll want to give more room, as they don't have fully developed roots systems to handle the heat/light. But the bigger ones start at a 1' or something and see how close you can get, within reason. I personally don't go more then 6" though, as they cast to much of a shadow, reducing the light other areas receive.
