Cool tubes... Carbon filtered or fresh air?

Hi all, first post, but not total newbie to indoor growing!.
As per the title, due to a change in grow room (6ftx6ftx6ft tent), and numerous temp problems with my last grow (few years ago, 7ftx3ftx6ft room 1x400w mh/hps)), I have decided on 2 cool tubes for this grow, a 400w shps, and a 600w shps,I plan on daisy chaining the 2 cool tubes, with a rvk125 pushing air through both tubes, and out of grow tent, i was wondering if adding a carbon filter inside the tent, would restrict the airflow, and add hot air to the tubes, making things worse, or would running fresh air from outside the tent, straight out of the tent, make that much difference?.
I am planning on adding either a 8inch or 10 inch rvk with a carbon filter in the tent anyway, and I use co2, and a 300w led to add some color lol!, so want to totally control air intake/outtake, heat, humidity, etc.
Any ideas welcome!.

Im guessing youre worried about smell leaking into the cooltubes?
If you seal everything up well with duct tape (the foil kind) and size your exhaust fan properly, you shouldnt have a smell issue.
Sounds like a solid plan to help with the heat. Ive seen people use cooltubes inline in sealed ducting in several very large grows.

No!, not worried about smells buddy, just heat generated by the 2 bulbs, with heat extracted by the 5' carbon filter connected to the grow room, or fresh air all the way through.
Like I said, I am getting either a 8' rvk with filter, if the cool tubes can work properly with my existing 5' carbon, or a 10'rvk with filter,if the cool tubes need the full rvk125 pushing fresh air through the pair of them.
Like I said, I have co2 injection, so I don't want my intake/extraction fans running 24/7....

If your running co2 you want a sealed room and you want AC and dehu as well as air cooled lighting which is totally independent of the rooms air.
Then you want to clean the air in the room with a recirculating scrubber.

In this case the cool tubes would have intake and outake external to the room your growing in.

Tents are not ideal for co2.

Funny enough, ac/dehumid was next on my 'to buy' list!, i can probably afford some unit or another in a few weeks time...
Next question, will ac remove smells?,so could I dump the 10' carbon, keeping the 5' with the cool tube setup, and ac dealing with the rest?.

I was budgeting on around £200 for the new carbon filter an fan,, so any ideas for a ac unit for the same sort of price would be well appreciated!

Gonna run the 2 cool tubes with fresh air, with one rvk125 pushing air through the sealeled tubes, and see how it goes. Will see what the more experienced than I for info on ac vs 10'carbon filter...

AC will not do anything for smell except move it around and the exhaust is hot and humid and should be vented outside.
I have one of those portable AC units that has the big exhaust hose you put in the window, you could smell it in the exhaust if you just smoked in the room it was in. What I did do though, was use one of those and make a filter box with a carbon filter inside it. AC exhausts into the carbon filter in a sealed box and the air that came out of the filter was vented out the window. Cant smell a thing. but they do pull in air from the room they are in that goes out the exhaust.

Figured you were in UK from your fan choices.

I cant help on the AC but I believe you want a mini split so it kicks the heat out the room and the cool air in.
Do a bit of research on that though.

I would recommend a rhino pro, as big as your budget allows.
You will defo need it or the smell will permeate the whole neighbourhood.
AC wont clean the smell.

In all honesty the cheapest option is to actively vent the heat out and rely on air exchange and forget co2.

I used to run 3 600s in cooltubes . Filter>Fan>tube>tube>tube>chimney. 8" fan was enough for all year round.

Just a heads up on the cool tubes. I ran some cool tube style lights and my yields went down. I purchased a lux meter and the tubes were eating up 40% of the light. I was getting 60k lux on a 600w and 90k on a 100k watt hps. Note that these were not branded cool tubes but cool tube style so maybe that was the problem.
It is also a bear keeping those lights clean. I used high end furnace filters but inevitably the glass gets dirty. They are very difficult to clean out completely and their is always streaking from the glass cleaner. I will never use them again

Thanks for all the info everyone, (can't find the thanks button yet)!.

I think it will come down to experimentation, with filter, without, see what temps in room, any smells outside room, and buy what's needed to remedy it, be it 8' fan and filter, or ac unit for now.

I have 'real' cool tubes, so I hope they are better than the troublesome ones mentioned by trambles above!.

Rhino Pro gear is available here, and my 5' filter could do with replacing or recharging anyway, so I put one on my list too... :D

So how did you get on with cool tube and filter. Did temp drop in the grow area. Im contemplating on getting a cool tube
