my grow box is at around a 100 degree temp all day its in a closet because of limited space what do you think i can do to get the temp down anyone buy any cheap small portable air conditioners? if so where did you get yours. if i used fans to constantly blow air out of the closet will that just eliminate most of the problum? i dont need a cooked plant any advice helps

What kind of exhaust system? Is you light air-cooled? You need some sort of ventilation . . . . plants need air too.

i have a cool tube for the light but its just blowing the hot air in the closet im gonna get something tomarrow my box is at 35% humidity so if i get a dehumidifier is that gonna drop it way down?

That will not work you already have really low humidity. The point of the cool tube is to pass cool air over your light and out of your room not back into it.

You probably need to change our fan/exhaust set up. Proper ventilation is key. Air cooled lights and sufficient exhaust fan for the size of your space.

my only problum is my incredibly limited space im going to pick up two big fans tomarrow and put them so they work together to move air out of the closet

What are the dimensions of your space? I would assume like most closets its about 8x2x6. To give you a general idea of what size exhaust fan you will need multiply all three dimensions to get your total cubic feet

8x2x6= 96 cubic feet. Fans are rated in CFM or cubic feet per minute.

With the 96 cubic foot closet you should use at least a 96 CFM fan. Keep in mind that long stretches of ducting, curves, and carbon filters will reduce a fans CFM rating. The type of fan is also important, centrifugal blower type fans can push through a lot more ducting than little booster fans even if they are rated at the same CFM.

Also take into concern where you draw air in and where it is exhausted, preferably you want to pull air in low and exhaust high up in your room.

Limited space is no excuse for poor ventilation as there are many fan options available. Good luck man :peace:

I had heat issues with my small closet grow box (2x2x4) . I get a lot of hot air stuck in my closet if I leave it closed for too long. I try to keep the door open as much as possible. I also lowered my temps by painting the inside of my box gloss white.

Use flat white, gloss is actually less reflective. :peace:

It has to do with light diffusion, gloss tends to scatter light making its over all reflective ability lower. I prefer black and white poly for wall covering, it is durable and protects the walls from water. I have used mylar but my rooms tended to run hotter. There is a new mylar out that is supposed to be better, its called "diamond diffusion foil" and it is supposed to reflect light more evenly.
