Hey guys, whats the most cost effective way of cooling a 22-gallon reservoir? Aquarium coolers look pretty expensive, I'm looking at ebay for something cheap but so far not much... thanks guys.
That's a good idea Twisty, lol. Or you could empty half out and add cold ph'd water to it.Take a couple of 2 liter soda bottles filled with water and freeze...then put in res.
Just an idea...
Wouldn't salt dehydrate the plant and kill it?Add Salt to the water before you freeze it.I can't remember the scientific explanation but it has something to do with the water not freezing at 32 so you can get colder a temperature.
I remember seeing something about this on mythbusters about salt water getting beer colder than normal water.
That's exactly what I do do. Once in the morning and once in the evening... it's not a big deal because I have to adjust the PH anyway..... plus I like visiting the babiesTake a couple of 2 liter soda bottles filled with water and freeze...then put in res.
