cooltube vs open wing

Going from an open wing to a cooltube, is a ~5F/2C temperature drop a reasonable expectation? when using a proper fan?

If exhausting the hot air outside you can easily expect a 2C drop in temp. I would say more like 5C. Do it and see.

If you have a powerful enough fan a cooltube (personally I use supernova's and they rock) can remove up to 80-90 percent of the heat generated by a HID light.

It just depends how you set it up.

400w HPS - the 20" cool tube HTG supply has. cooling with 180cfm growbright duct blower

I think my room will finally be perfected! 5C would be amazing, I'm only running about 12F/6C above intake temp. House 70 room 82-84

I use a RVK 150 L1 for 2 600's and have completely stable temps
