Cops on the patio above my apartment

SCCA.... why give the cops all this run around if you are within the legal limits? if they want to deal with you they will. at this point, they obviously wont come back to talk without a warrant, or they would have come knocking the first time. the more evasive you act the more they are gonna think you're doing something wrong. I know it's all a little scarey and whatnot, but the more we act like criminals, the more they will treat us like them. I like the idea of knowing your rights while being cooperative (assuming you havent broken the law)

I have to agree. You say your legal in all regards with paperwork and plant count. Now I am not one to ever suggest letting others know of a grow, legal or not, but "maybe" get your paperwork and everything together to show and call the station and say what you overheard and you want to be sure there are no problems. Why wait for a possible door kick in raid and get any dogs you own shot? If everything is legit, let them know you want them to know. Have a pot of coffee ready and offer them some if they want to look. Once they know your legit and the officers follow state law, you will no longer be an interest to them and you can sleep well at night. What you don't want is them asking the DEA for help in any investigation. I can't believe I am saying this...but in your case, reaching out to show all is well may be the best for you.

And have a camera or audio recorder hidden somewhere so you have proof what happens if needed.

No, they haven't come back yet. I've been anxiously awaiting a knock on my door, but so far nothing has happened.

If I get past this week, then I think I am in the clear. Just don't want to jinx myself yet.

I am 100% legal with everything I am doing, I just don't want the hassle and the questioning from the Police.... Not to mention explaining everything to my roommate and having the potential hassle with my apartment complex. Cops in my city are notoriously known for being dicks and "above the law". Most of them are in their 20's and misuse their limited authority over others.

I'll keep you posted if anything changes, but hopefully they just realized that I am a small timer just growing for personal use.

The fact that I have to sweat about this is utterly ridiculous, but hey, that's what the MJ is for!

Just an update. I've haven't been contacted either in person or via phone from law enforcement.

Good thing, they would be wasting their time.

we dont have limits in cali anymore but if u get all crazy and dedicate like 5000w+ u might get steaked out cuz they think your selling it

so there is no more 99 plant limit by your state?
but you still have a limit by federal law...

Theres limits man lets clear this up but you can get around the limits by contacting your doctor and having him write you an exemption notice for whatever amount you want. That being said dont go over 99 plants because then the dea comes knockin and that isnt easy to explain away lol.

there is no federal limit per say it just becomes a federal case if they feel that you are doing something dirty or selling or something. If you have over 99 plants they get the feds involved if they think there is wrong doing on your part. So that being said pushing over 99 plants while completely legal by state standards can get really sticky for you if the state calls the feds to check in on you cuz they think your slangin to the wrong people and stuff. Just stay 99 or under and your always safe in cali.

Pfffft making it a little complicated aren't we if he's kknocking on the door he obviously has no warrant so just ignore the fuck out of him i live upstaris with my front door downstairs, so anytime my bell goes i simply pop me head out the window and see who it is.

lots of people think u can only have 8in veg and 8in flower at a time..as far as i know limits where thrown out the door a year or so ago..now u make ur own limits but if ur a fukin idiot and growing 100+plants without being a vendor for a club or 2 then yea u will get raided cuz obviously ur not ganna smoke it ALL lol
