How do the police normally find outdoor growing plants????

A neighbor complains.

True. hahaha, are there any other methods of the plants being found?

In California we have fly overs. If it is your own property they tend not to prosecute if it is below 100 plants.

cops find plants because people find plants. you want to plant your marijuana plant in a location that only you would go to. also you may have not noticed but marijuana smells... a lot. come september your plants gonna be ripe with nugs and its gonna smell 'loud'. ive got a pretty good nose for marijuana... then again so does anyone whos ever smelled it, so its not unrealistic to be able to smell larger flowering plants from 2-300 yards away.
So now you have a spot thats kinda remote you wanna make sure u dont do anything to draw attention to your garden. This means things like not leaving a trail in the woods... dont snap a bunch of bushes or walk thru grasses... stay on the dirt / rocks. Also if you find a spot with a clearing, dont plant in the middle of the clearing plant on the tree line so the plant has some cover and something to blend in with. just having pot plants growing around other small trees and shrubs goes MILES towards keeping it concealed. Also if your bringing your indoor plants outside to flower you might wanna dig a hole a foot or so deeper than the container to keep the overall height of the plant down. theres a lot i didnt mention but i think i got the basics. fell free to ask away if u have any more questions.
