If I set up a vertical grow with one 150w HPS light would that be enough to grow say 4-5 plants?
I would use 2 other T5's on two of the sides.
I am just curious if that would be enough light power for vegging and flowering.
Any info would be appreciated.

OK sweet thanks, my light says its got 16000 lumens and it can cover 9 square feet so basically Id want maybe 3.
With the other 2 lights at 2000 lumes a piece I think I could probably pull 4?

you can dangle some 23w cfls they have about 1200 lumens each and can be bought in bulk for cheap and any hardware store, make sure to get the daylight ones 6500k.

The simple answer is yes. You could grow four smaller plants around a 150w vertical bulb. If it's a decent grow, you might get an ounce a plant. A 250w HPS would obviously work much better for a small payoff in heat.

Thanks, one last thing, is the upkeep any different, like do I have to treat the plants any differently?

I would think 4 plants would be alright. Any more and you're probably getting crowded and losing too much light penetration.. Tho, you probably could push it further with lower yields. Every setup requires different attention to its plants; but there is nothing "out of the ordinary" that you'll have to do with this vertical soil setup. GL!

sounds like you could pull it off but me personally would scale it back to 2 or 3 plants but i like my girls to have a little breathing room
