Could this be bad GENES?

Hello guys (and gals). My concern is for one of my seedlings. PiCS show deformed, almost non-existent growth on the first, lower pair of leaves only (none detected on any new growth, as of yet) Could this just be bad genetics? OR maybe stress? None of my other seedlings have displayed this characteristic with their leaves...

- - = SPECS = - -
1o seeds total (bag seed/unknown strain - 6 planted March 25 | 3 planted March 26 | 1 planted March 27)
I began germinating all 1o seeds on March 23 (the very last seed to show it's root is the one with abnormal leaf pattern. again, ONLY on lowest pair of leaves. the new growth up top looks okay. this lead me to believe maybe stress could have been an issue)

Room: 3' x 5' x 8' (length x width x height)
Fixture: 2 x 6-light, bathroom vanity (hanging about 2-4 inches above plants)
Lights: 12 CFL bulbs - 1,1oo Watts (18,4oo Lumens)
Light Spectrum: 4bulbs - 6,5oo k | 4bulbs - 5,ooo k | 4bulbs - 2,65o k
Ventilation: Fan + Air Purifier / Ionizer
Temp: 76° - 82° F.
Humidity: 5o - 6o%
Fertilizer / Nutrient Solutions: None (regular soil used + perlite)
Water: Distilled (no heavy watering, mostly sprayed in the mornings and in the evenings when lights are barely coming ON / OFF to avoid high temps and burning)
*hope I have provided enough INFO...ANY reply / advice is much appreciated! Thanks again!

Thks for the provided info.I would attribute it to stress or it is trying to reach for the hi K light in a low K light saturation area. This is only my guess. If you are planning to breed take note of it.If not then since it is forming normal new growth just disregard.

Yeah since day 1 of germination, I've been keeping notes in a daily journal of any changes in room temp/humidity, color, stems, rapid growth, etc.. The rest of my plants seem to be doing alright; it's just that one that had weird leaf deformation, but all the new growth seems fine for now. This coming Sunday/Monday (April 8/9), my seedlings will be 2 weeks old. My next challenge will be transplanting them =]

THANKS for the quick reply, very much appreciated!

Don't worry about this at all. In a few weeks those leaves will be old and die off allowing for new growth at the top.

I have just had this from a seed a few weeks ago and you should see it now - it's totally vigorous and vegging as normal.

=) Thanks, I'm doing my best to not worry now.. Since day one, I've been doing what I can to keep a positive energy/environment around them. Don't know if the plants can sense that kind of stuff, but I'm sure it wouldn't hurt.. Good luck with your grow as well! You have any pics?

No issue there at all whatsoever! More than likely happened when the plant was sprouting and had some stress, or the PH was a bit weird in a spot where the root was getting established in the soil. New growth is looking stellar, which is far more important to be focusing on!

Keep the positive thoughts going and give those babies lots of TLC!

I think that's a sign of heat stress. Your plant will be allright though, no need to rip it or think it won't be good.

Slanty, what strain is that? Looks like a rainbow, I had to rep you.

GHS Bubba Kush(Bubblegum x Kush) feminized. This is my 1st round with it from seed. This is one of my clones.... :bigjoint:

Read lots of horror stories after I had ordered the 5 pack, but it seems I "lucked" out!(might have something to do with my green thumb):weed:
