Counting Leaves to Determine Sex

sup everyone. I'm on my 4th week of veg with 3 bagseed babies and they're looking great (sorry, no pics). I was talking to my friend about sexing plants and he mentioned counting the number of leaves to tell what sex the plant was gonna be. Basically he said that if the third set of leaves has 5 "blades" it was a male, and it they had 7 blades it was a female. I've never heard anything like this before and I'm more than a little skeptical. Anyone heard of this? Is it an effective way to sex a plant?

Counting leave blades is not how you would determin sex of the plant. Here's what you need to look for. Keep in mind your plant may not even be showing yet.

all my plants show 9 bladed leaves, I don't see any correlation between number of blades on a leaf and the sex of the plant. I was under the impression that the healthier plant the more blades on the leaf.

Um, did you read my original post? I don't have any facts about it; that's why I posted here! I've never heard of anything like this before either, hence the questions.

a plant grows 1/3/5/7/9/11points on the fan leaves.in vegg
then11/9/7/5/3/when flowering.
tell your mate if it was so easy everyone would be doing this.
plants are uniform on how they grow, females and males alike.
sometimes males can be tinner more leggy and also stink more.
you will be able to tell after a few grows.
and vegging female plants also show sex by the hairs they grow after about 4 to 6 weeks of vegg.
