Well if you read a book sometime you would find that the stem does not provide the plants power the FAN leaves do. so Like i said READ UP ON IT. Growing it will only get you so fair. sorry for the shit talking on your thread Beaver but some people like to talk out there ass and give shit advice. good luck bro.

Flat white paint is The best other then mylar.
Also you can tie down the branch's (lst) to keep it all one level.
And the lower shitty branches can be trimed i go about 6 7 inches up the stem.

Not to add fuel to the fire BUT, my last grow was 6 eclipse and 3 sweet purple. My space was very limited, so plants grew tightly together. I read somewhere (I think a forum like this) to cut fingers of fan leaves in half for light penetration. I nearly did this to all leaves. I had no problem with anything. They all flowered well and on schedule. I have been doing this from beginning of 12/12 this time around. Again, limited space. I do not see any integrity being compromized with my girls. The bud sets are impressive. Not sure if this is because of more photon penetration or genetics but they look awesome. Peace to all.....

but my plants had lots of leaves hidding bud two weeks after trimming buds were huge i kept newest leafs and the leafs by the bud on the branches

you just said you cut off the fan leaves.
if you keep it all one level you wont have to worry about that

i only done that to 2 plants out of 5 the 2 plants i trimmed i had four ounces of dry bud each plant the other 3 grew about ounce and a half per plant why did that happen . all indica by the way
