my wife and I both got covid right before halloween, but are over it now- it was really like a bad cold

Don't wear or see masks anymore. I do still only go to the stores first thing in the morning, keep my hands away from my face and always use a hand sanitizer.

I had no issues at all other than a bit or shoulder soreness. Same with the Flu & RSV vac.

I was pretty lucky throuout this. Since I'm retired I didn't have as much contact with people but didn't get Covid and I only knew one other person IRL that contracted but it was mild.

To this day I wear an N95 when I go out. Every time.

The timing of this could have been way worse.



I got a fairly bad headache. Chills. Congestion and runniness. But is Holy mild compared to my first go around in December 2020.

I did go to three airports, two airplanes without wearing a mask. That's basically like fucking a dozen hookers without a condom.

Thankfully I am home now. Sans hookers. I got home about 2am Monday. And started feeling shitty about 1PM. So I'm unsure when I contracted it. Could have totally been on the way down there and took this long to catch up with me . Or is it that fast and I caught it on the plane home? Already feel better today than I did yesterday. So that's good.

The Mojitos were going down like water bro. What happens in Costa Rica stays in Costa Rica. Unless my healthcare provider finds out.

Still a Covid virgin and got both the booster and flu shot at the same time in the same shoulder a month ago with nothing but a sore shoulder for a day. I can't get to sleep unless laying on my left side so got both in the right shoulder.

I've never worn a mask unless I had to but I'm not opposed to it. I'm not shaving off my beard to wear an N95 but If I had to go anywhere when I had the sniffles or a bad cough I'd wear the surgical type to protect others. I do cough fairly often but what would you expect after over 50 years of smoking pot and cigs.

Mainly in the morning to clear out the lung butter that accumulates overnight.

Husband works at the hospital. He tested positive. He got it working there. 18 hospital employees were out with Covid last week and 45 called out with Covid Monday . The hospital is requiring everyone wear masks now. We looked into getting him Plaxcovid . His health insurance through the hospital is terrible. He would have to pay $160 for the telehealth visit to get the doc to prescribe the med and then he would have to pay a $25 co pay and 30% of the cost of the Paxlovid. He is just going to try to ride it out due to the cost . It is pretty pathetic that he doesn’t get all of this paid for for free. How can healthcare workers be there to take care of sick patients and keep the hospital safe when they are at home sick because they got sick at work!?
I feel fine. Really hope I don’t get it. I never got it before . He even got the Moderna spike vax 12/18/23. No one was wearing masks at the hospital and everyone was coughing.

Covid, Rsv, strep and influenza have all been through my house this winter. Been a bit of a shitshow but the way it goes I suppose.
Covid was the easiest.
