Cracked seeds

Is this normal or should I expect them to be dead? I googled it and it seems like people crack them on purpose but that’s before germ.

It’s like 15% rh here max, maybe they dried too fast?

Not normal, I've never seen it before except with pistachio nuts

Ya I'd say those seeds are toast
Try to pop one see if it grows. If not then toss em

People are idiots. People do all sorts of really stupid, unnatural things to cannabis plants; they damage the seeds, spike them with rusty nails, fertilize them with cat piss, and so many other "miracle fixes". They pay a fortune for rocket fuel, snake oil, and pixie dust nutrients that are no better than ones costing 1/4 the price.

No it's not normal. I've never had that happen and I've done a lot of seeds. Weird.

Aww man; that's my favorite one to hate! There's a thread in hydro / aero "Cut off Roots?". I'm not even gonna look. If somebody is pitching this as a way to grow bigger buds, I'ma smack somebody.

Who needs roots anyways. You smoke the buds duh.
All that wasted energy going to grow roots. Stack that in the buds instead!

Have you had them sitting in the sun or on a heater to cause that. They're cooked.

Nope just sitting in a cup on the counter.


I checked seeds I got recently from some other strains and luckily they aren’t doing this.

I’ll definitely try planting a few and see what happens.



Also a lot of these came from preflowers. Idk why that would matter but when I cut the plant down it had two seeds sticking out the bottom of every node so I took them off since I know they’d fall off pretty quick. I’ll pay attention next week when the buds dry and I get some more.
