is that the only way to get the real deal then? by cutting a clone? i followed that link, $495 a pack:o!!! it claimed 47% thc tho (lol) is that even possible? :peace:
BC seeds ALWAYS get very mixed reviews

some say they r: ripoff artists, scamers, pollen chuckers, and douchebags

While Others say they r: Geniuses, Breeding Gods, and the most trustworthy people to send cash in the mail to.

Honestly i have no opinion because ive never purchased from them

but here is a guy who bought one of there 1,000 dollar strains

Let me rephrase that question then. What traits that can be found in male plants are usually considered "desired" to breeders

also what book are you referring to?
let me rephrase my answer then; if there was a "set" of desired traits that i could list then everything would be the same. i can't just say this, that and this. there are the obvious traits, but they are obvious. if you have tall plants and you want to shorten them then you could look for the short males. and so on, ...

every book i can find. :bigjoint:

like i asked earlier you need an apprentice for a couple years LOL which strain shows dominence the one you as male or the one you use as female. example if i wanetd to cross afgooey and trainwreck to make "gooeywreck" which would i use for the male?

i dont think it matters since genetics is a 50/50 split

it shouldn't matter. i see strain dominance across the board. it's usually the traits of the strain itself as opposed to the sex of the parent.

roadtrip is an older cross of mine. it is very "dominant". whenever i use it for crosses it seems to come out more than the other parent. whether i use a male or a female.

looking good fdd and grats on your new strain, I do have 1 very important question concerning Cracker Jack though.

Do you intend on giving out small prizes wrapped in the funny paper when you hook people up with some of it or the seeds?

(would be kinda cool getting a small yoyo or temp tattoo in a bag of grass ;-))

If I may. Most people don't know what they are looking for in a male. As Fdd said some of the things are obvious but we don't see what we are looking at, we just see another male. I would be looking for a plant with good vigor, nice thick stem, close spacing between nodes, good lateral branching that grows almost vertically not too tall and good resin output.

So its kinda like 2 categories then when your looking for parents. In a male you would want

Male
good vigor
nice hearty stem
close nodes with good branching
stout with good resin production
(kinda sounds indica dominant)

For a female I am guessing :-P
all the qualities in a male along with
Bud density
smell/aroma flavor
calyx to leaf ratio
flowering time

Any other traits to add?
Only asking cause I kinda wanted to start getting into the breeding thing when I start growing outdoors this year and what better place to bring it up then in here :bigjoint:

Edit: and heads up thx after I read your sig I cant get "Dave's not here man" with Tommy Chongs voice in my head lmao  I love that skit
