Lets review...
Meth doc sinks 200k+ into new medical marijuana clinic, most of the cost is putting in a vault room. Uh...vault room?
When interviewed he said he wouldn't be charging patients, and that all the patients want to pick up their medicine from the clinic instead of the convenience of delivered to their homes...uh sure...
So no charge to the patients, but lets bill OHIP every month when the patients pick up their medicine....hmmmm.....
Nope, change in plan, $250 per document....uh....maybe I can still bill OHIP?....uh....no I guess not.
 
Well that didn't take long. Wonder how many more of these clinics will be closing after they open?
 
Harptler will never decriminalize or legalize this. He has so much as said so. He doesn't represent the people of this country....he's a business kinda guy...that's where his heart is!
 
I think there is more to the story than meets the eye. Curious to follow this one when more info trickles out.
 
I'm half expecting him to open again under new rules or something.. but from what I've heard from local London people it was a ticking time bomb from the very beginning.
 
I just hope stories like this don't persuade other doctors from being able to sign for medical marijuana. There's very few that are compassionate (especially in places like Alberta, Manitoba, the Territories etc) and with all the extra scrutiny from the colleges I think that number will dwindle further. Add in some vague media reports like this and doctors are going to be scared of losing their license, all over trying to get people help. Granted I'm sure some sketchy shit was going on in this case (100% of your patients aren't going to want to pick up at your clinic dumb ass).

I couldn't agree with this more. Hit the nail on the head. As someone who still hasn't found anyone to sign in the 6 yrs I've been trying.(Ontario none the less. AND classified as Cat.1 under old program) Granted, I have given up that pipe dream since the new program has come to fruition and does less to address patients needs than the original program. Haven't come across someone who won't charge a patient an unreasonable amount for access. At this point I'd be happy with just going the dispensary route, but some Doctors fail to realize that being chronically ill is expensive and not everyone can afford the fees.

Here's hoping that at the very least access is made easier for those in need, but because they have made Doctors the gatekeepers, effectively nothing has changed.
 
The nazis aka the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons were in town today...Dr. Hart was shut down.
I'm still waiting to see their new policy HAHAHA...bullshit!
 
How is the nurse as the prescriber working in the real world. Curious if that that option had been tried by anyone?
